• PSO Episode 1 & 2 v1.0 servers going down

    Gamespot has a story on ST's announcement that as of March 26, 2004 they will be shutting down their older v1.0 servers.

    This comes after users having over a year now to trade in their copies of v1.0 for the newer v1.1. You can still trade in your copy of v1.0 so that you will not be shutout when the v1.0 servers are no more.

    Sonic Team will honor this shutdown by running the v1.0 servers for free for a week before they shut them down.

      No, the old JP v1.0 PSO is going down. V1.1, plus, and ep3 are still staying. If you bought your copy in the US or EU, you'll still be on.

      ST made v1.0 in JP, but there was many problems with it. Then, they had a huge recall of v1.0 to switch over to v1.1.

      That's just What I'm wondering. ARE we going tto have to buy pso plus to be online? I'm especially worried about this due to the fact that I dont know what the difference is between V 1.0 & V 1.1/

      This is for Japanese users. Don't worry about it if you have the American version.

      US version is 1.1 equivelant

      And US users can't send their version in for PSO Plus / 1.1

      The US version is fine

      Ah, ok. Makes sense. PSO Plus and v1.1 are different however. Anyone know the release date for US PSO Plus?

      OMG on this varry website about 8 mnonths ago they told us that the US PSO ep 1&2 was ver1.1 ok so people quit asking this stupid question

      on the other hand sonic team has made no anishativ to tell us about pso plus or even if it is to come out in the US and no there is no need to swich to plus its just like ver. 1 and 2 on the dreamcast was

      does this mean i have to lose my 1.0 chars? or can i use my 1.0 chars with teh 1.1 game? i thought if u got a new pso games disc that u have to eneter a new cd key and what not, so wouldnt that shut out my old chars? wtf?
