PSO Plus is aimed a bit more at people like me,who either cannot play online or those who choose not toplay online.I don't feel like giving credit card numbers out over the net,and Sega doesn't offer any other payment option other than a debit card(which i do not have).So for me,the upgrade is good.But i agree,it may not be good for those who can already play online and do the extra quests.
Actually, I would say that PSO Plus is more like a Player's Choice version of PSO, but instead of doing a regular Player's Choice version, Sonic Team added some very minor things to the offline mode and added one word to the title so that people who already own the original would be fooled to buy the same game again. And you *can* pay for PSO without using any kind of card, only that you have to use the Japanese version of PSO for that. Remember the price of PSO Plus: it's the same as for any normal Player's Choice game.
