    lollipoplolita writes, "Server maintenenace for 6/17 (Today, Japan Time) is going to be from 10:00 to 18:00, instead of ending at 13:00 like normal. My guess would be patching to gear up for the Service In, adding the level cap message and all that.

    Here are the details regarding payment and Service In.
    On July 15th, Service In will begin (full retail).

    At this time, any Open Beta accounts must pay to continue play with their accounts, and of course must download the new retail clients if necessary.

    Any accounts made aftrer Service In will have a free 15 Day Trial Period in which to play. During this period, they may have full access to the game and all available modes, but may not level past level 20 in any characters. At level 18 and 19, a message will be sent to the player much like the one shown here stating that the character is about to become level 20. Once the character levels from level 20, the player will be forced to stop playing until payment is made on the account.

    Account charges are as follows:
    1050 yen per month for a recurring payment (auto-payment)
    1260 yen per month for a one time 30 day payment
    Payments may be made with Webmoney or a Credit Card, much like current HL options."

      I was hoping they'd just keep the fees the way they were, since I'm going to have to choose now (unless things change) between getting Blue Burst or not. However, I suppose I could just play the GC games offline and Blue Burst online...but it's just a drag I suppose. I hope it'll be worth it!

      Doubful it would change, Sega US acts like the PSO pc versions don't even exist. Not that I'm not hopeful though, I tried doing blue burst but I gave up.

      I don't get it. Sonic Team is distributing PSOBB online, aren't they? So then what the fuck do they need with Sega of America? They're already handling everything themselves! (payment, distribution, etc) All they need to do is make the sign up English/American/etc compatible.

      I'm sure they already have most of the game translated to English (they've made how many versions of the same game, all supporting English now?), and "keyboard support" is handled by Windows.

      Pay to play open beta ? LoL this is nuts. I never heard any open beta game that has to pay to play. I play L2 open beta all for free also priston tale is free.

      What is there to hate? Sure there are occasional glitches (and don't listen to the fool up there, you don't have to pay til 10th of june. From 10th of may, blue burst has been open beta, and even though i only managed to get in 30 mins of play last night- I still say it is worshipable.

      NO, they are going retail and the people currently in beta need to start paying for the retail game make sense?
