New PSU Details

you must have nothing better to do than query and complain that i put down a series such as pso.

simply put pso sucks

sonic team had many numerous chances to improve the game

give it a real story line that would tie into the ps saga

and make it a legit mmorpg

and tackle all the bugs and hackers with their AR and GS.

many chances to improve the game instead of beefing the graphics of pso dc v2 and adding new areas that turn out to be small and couldve been done so much better and maybe even made episode 2 itself a second disc to give it the room and add so much more than a boring seaside area and mountain area that couldve been so much better.

so much flaws of pso that have never been addressed which get circumvented by hackers or exploiters.

too many times sonic team bent pso over and shafted it.

so in reiteration, pso sucks psu will suck.

All this time you've spent ranting about a game you dislike could have been better spent on something productive. Get out of the chair and go do something.

Whoever it is just wants attention, who cares if they post pointless comments? Just ignore it and they won't feel encouraged to continue it. If they want the last word to help boost self-esteem, so be it - that's my advice anyway. Take it or leave it.

Anyone else sick of Phantasy Star being online? Personally i would love a completely new offline Phantasy Star game, possibly with online components to please the people who enjoyed Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast (the best).

I agree completely. It should have gameplay aspects of PSO but be offline and have parties where you can switch in real-time between the characters. Of course they would have to have a very customizable AI or at least great preprogrammed AI.

i hope that psu is not some stupid online or mmo. that is what killed the series. sega had to keep changing the game drastically to try to keep it alive. they thought that the card system would start it up agian but it failed miserably. online was their problem. the only thing that kept the game alive where the loyal fans. i hope that psu will be completely offline. if they structure the game to be more like phantasy star 3 and completely offline then sonicteam will have a sure winner. honestly, who wants to pay $10 a month to play the game. and no matter what, their will always be problems online. is there anyone who thinks the way i do? please let me know.

I fell in love with pso watching my friends older brother play it on the Dream cast. I loved it so much i spent over $300 buying dream cast and equipement to play the thing. I felt like i failed pso when i didnt get pso ver 2. And when it came out on the cube i was thrilled. Every seconded day i was over at that same friends house (who had upgraded unlike me to a cube) playing as a tempchar. Now that i have my own cube i still play endless hours booma killing. Pso 3 was a slap in my face, if this hurts u fans my grievences to u, my friend (still the same one, we practically were the pso community in our town) purchased it and we both shed a tear. It was sad to fined out that it was turnedbased but there was hope, wich ended swiftly. Now this PSU is coming to rock the world again. It doesnt need to. I am a fanboy for pso and because of it i cant relate to most other rpgs or games in general because it still feels like pso has tapped into something that has still not been reproduced. Fable coming out may change that, but alls that psu would need for me to buy it is, new rares, new cosutmes, new chars, new levels, and new quests. U got a good thing going to bust it up. Online hasnt been that important, since A it wasnt free like the origanl... sigh ... but i understand that and B my friend (still the same one) just play co-op over and over mag raising and searching for those elusive rares, and sometimes we include and convert others to our faith in pso and play with them.

Thanks just for giving pso, make psu and extention not a remake...

Im questioning the whole online thing. It was useful and made the game great when u played this game for the dream cast, with the keyboard and linking up with people all around the world. The universal translator allowed me friends in japan and spain. But xbox and cube didnt need it. Having those four friends play beside u is wicked to say the least. No clumbsy letter chatting with people u dont know and cant since u cant type. No waiting forever for some one to jion ur team but wont since there is only one player in the game, no hackers, and best of all no servers down or way too chatty people in the lobby. PSU... would be a game to itself but to wipe its metephorical @ $ $ with the pso name sake might be too far, who knows, sega did do Episode 3 right? Im looking forward for the whole new PSU, but maybe making a bigger online game isnt the answer but getting back to the basics. Some people who dont have the friends may disagree with me, but every friend ive shown pso to has loved it and the one thing holding them back is that its and old game, not to be found in my town.

it all adds up. mmos are actually a dying genra. companys even at the Game Developers Conference even confirmed that players are starting to play less and less online.

Yup that sounds about right. Besides, I don't care about all the hackers and stuff so long as they don't get in my way. I just play with my friends and we have fun, that's what gaming is about, having fun! ^_^ So he doesn't like PSO, that's just his tough luck for he's missing a good game IMO. If this had happened on my message board an email and IP block would have been errected after his first comment, hey admin guys! *lightbulb*
