• Oops, ST goof leads to early release

    Last week Sonic Team made a huge error when it downloaded the new episode IV maps to Blue Burst. Apparently, the area wasn't supposed to be activated yet, and yet people were able to get inside of it. This error was corrected on thursday, however the damage was already done.

    As such Sonic Team has apparently bumped up the release dates for Government quests 9-5 and 9-6 to thursday. Here's the info on them.

    9-5 The Chosen People part 1

    Accompanied by General Leo, you head down into the crater and the crater has formed into a series of caves where the meteroite crashed. This has something to do with MOTHER, but no other details are known.



    9-6 The Chosen People part 2

    Head deeper into the crater, but beware as monsters strength increases a lot. Montague will now make his grand reappearance, where he was last seen during the Ult incident.

      We aren't sure of that. This rushing may have forced ST to finish the area in a rush, and so monsters may change as time goes on since they didn't have all the time they thought they would. Heck we don't even know if the boss will be finished yet so they may be forced to creat a 9-7 to announce its activation.

      I heard that up to 9-8 has been announced, though unofficially. I doubt the episode will finish with these quests, as there are only two but there are three deserts.

      The only glitch I'm worried about is the sinkhole. Hopefully the focus only on that before release and get it fixed before Thursday. A trap that crashes your client 100% of the time isn't a smart move. Hopefully ST will delay this until next Tuesday, if only to fix that.

      Will Episode 4 have a main boss? much like how Episode 1 had Dark Falz, Episode 2 Olga flow, Episode 3(no clue)

      if so thatd be so damn cool, from whats been posted episode 4 is looking to be something special indeed

      i wonder how long itl be till its released on the US and Europe?

      Ep4 has a boss, yes. There are only two known pics of it, but not good enough to make out what kind of fight it might be.

      so what your saying is, ep 4 has an end boss like previous PSO Games? thats cool thanks for answering

      do you think they will add some kind of storyline element to it as you progress through the game

      much like how people found out about Rico from going through ruins 1->3 , and flowen from going through the various VR stages and seabed?

      i think ive read about the main plot to episode 4 a while ago when they first annoucene the thing on this site, would i be right in thinking it remains to same throughout?

      The plot has already taken 1 twist, with the appearance of Leo. Plus, I've discoverd at least 2 seperate subplots, and I'm looking around for others.

      The meteor is really only the intro, the story doesn't stay the same for long

      However, the meteor IS in the boss room, so it may have some part to play.
