• Shutdown Confirmed, No Longer Accepting Accounts

    In a recent announcement on the official Sega of America / PSO message board, Sonic Team confirmed the shutdown of the PSO GameCube servers. It was also stated that new account registration would no longer be available as of this week. As mentioned before, players who have active accounts may continue playing until March 31st, 2007, with the final month (March) being free. In the announcement, Sonic Team thanked everyone for the good times on PSOGC and encouraged anyone who enjoyed the game to check out Phantasy Star Universe.

      I think for a lot of the time, sega only let us down by not addressing cheaters and letting them roam freely. But by the time i left and did my gaming elsewhere, sega was failing at keeping the ships from fsoding you when you went into a team and things like that. lucky for me, if the people that still have accounts want to have one last party on the sega servers, i still have my account......PSO FOREVER!!!!!!

      So fucking lame. I was hoping to get a few more ep3 battles with VR Raiden during the free month.

      But nooooooooooo Sega decideds that only the people with current accounts can play that month.

      Offline mode will still be availible atleast. But still.Phantasy star online Gamecube it the best i've ever played.

      no, i should say more than that. what's really sad is that not only is PSU not on any nintendo console, but PSO's getting replaced by a game with a lightning ball for zonde. that makes me really, really sad
