no. that sucks. you would need a keyboard otherwise it like typing on a cell phone using AIM

If memory of my friend's wii serves me right, there are some usb ports on the back of the Wii I noticed (not compatable with my removable hard drive, I checked) so many eventually there will be a keyboard or mouse attachment for the wii.

If the Wii supports JAVA, then it could be worth a try. Try it out with the JAVA Chat (http://www.pso-world.com/jchat.php) client on the site.
