Ok, so about a year back i downloaded what is now my favorite song. It was an 80's song known as Moskau by Dschinghis Khan. Now i love that band.
So i buy it off of itunes. No problems. Infact, there were about 50 other songs i could download, but i only wanted moskau at the time.
so about 2 months back, i go to itunes. no problem I search dschinghis khan. Nothing comes up. I then go to my library, and click the arrow next to the song "Moskau" (for those that don't have itunes, that means i want to search for that particualr song.) I then see the message saying it cant find the song (ill give the actual message later, im not on the computer where my itunes is). Plainly said, because it is a german song by a german band, itunes NA wont let me download it.
now WTF Itunes. You were awesome. But now i cant find those songs ANYWHERE. grrr it makes me so mad.
luckily off of limewire, i was able to get only 3 other songs, unfortunatly, not the song Rasputin which is what i wanted. Oh well... Itunes better do something.... cuz wtf, you should be able to buy out of country songs.
On a side note, i dont think J-pop is on there either..... Damn you Itunes!

Everytime I consider buying music through iTunes, somebody posts a horror story. I suggest trying a google search to see what you can come up with, but put on that adblocker first.

I don't know if this works, but couldn't you just use the J-Pop method (http://www.jbox.com/SEARCHES/itunes_japan/) with cards from the EU?

Did you try to find it at Google?
If yes on which Google? (.com, .de, .ch, .at ...)

Moskau at Google Videos (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4046220309038527780)

Dshingis Khan at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00000879D/qid=1047428818/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/104-3351396-9310312?v=glance&s=music)

Jep, it makes a difference.

Even .ch(Swiss) and .de(Germany) delivers different results.

1.29 Euros @musicload (http://www.musicload.de/item.ml?releaseid=428476_4)

Maybe you find it for under one euro, but i think the chances are better on German portals then on English.

Actually i think iTunes only uphold mostly searched titles.

And i think the English(language) market isn't that interested on German music.

edit:
Finally found a place where you can download it for free,
Russian site (http://www.zaycev.net/pages/320/32087.shtml)

Are you sure Rasputin is from Dschingis Khan?

It seems it's from Boney M. @Google Video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1187054463583724595&q=Rasputin)

Or could it be you mean Dschingis Khan (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5329218840884525228&q=Dschingis+Khan)

Short Wiki research Rasputin is from Boney M.
Dschinghis Khan never performed it.

Ralf Siegel was the producer of Dschinghis Khan.
Frank Farian was the producer of Boney M.
(Both Germans)

Frank Farian was also the producer of Milli Vanilli.

I think they inspired each other, so the sounds could sound pretty equal.

Also interesting:
Rasputin was performed in 1978, while Dschinghis Khan was builded for l'eurovision de la chanson (modern: Eurovision Song contest) in 1979.

You have to ask:
the voices or the faces, and therefore the answer is both.
