So read apoem i wroted. Guess what tits abouts

Empty tool-handled smoke rings
Is all I got
Morning floods a-comin quickly
Shining that fire wretched quake
onto our floating plain

God aids my temperment
empties my vaults
and shatters my skin thoughts
I let him ride with me
for a penny's pittance

Genaveve sees my riding motion
Now I look with her eyes
Telling me to beware falling skys
Pine meadow sundown scare
Observes the obvious outcome

Sport the gunpowder style
Let loose Thunder Runs
Into the camp across the sea
With a tell-tale conundrum
And Russian laced antics

Swirls of doom spoke forth
Calling mentions our force riders
Thousands deep with a slow creep
curving a district of rock, grass, snow
To penetrate a desperate isodrome

Realization of hilarity consume
the outspoken priest of Perfect prefect
His rightesnous and grave reasoning
Let me go ahead with daring
blaring a tube to the beat of a drum

Boxes carried by wool drenched steel
Load and leave a forsaken future
Caused by inaction dreamt of greed
Still, still, issues in my head please me
That steel length is still heated

I love her, the chemical said
Quote me on that and let it ride
Don't concern with that now
Man-made rain is heading for you
Accomplish a goal, for loves risk

Tempt fate cause forces require
Bountiful measures not yet known
Tire wrought treads break fog
'Gainst your flesh covered chest
Die an angel, seep blood and love

Hm, is it pretentious, or brilliant? I'm not qualified to say, but I quite like it.

So in the spirit of your post, I'm going to go get drunk either.

Well I'm not drunk.

Give me about a half hour reading over the poem with my friend Johnny Walker and I'll let you know how it is if I can remember it tomorrow morning.

Drunk and still able to write poetry counts for something, like that guy's sig in the Lounge:

"I'm not as think as you drunk I am."

Reminds me of my late grandfather, dialing our home number when he got drunk. Goodtimes.

You think that THATS bad!
Remember that one time I had to get drunk in order to play at a piano concert?

I don't dig poetry that doesn't rhyme.
But I do have a half empty bottle of Jim Beam here, so maybe i'll reread it when i'm drunk and i might like it.

You didn't... play better than you normally would, did you?

I was just refrencing an episode of Family Guy in which Peter would play like Mozart, but only when he was inebriated.

I don't know how to take that, so I'll take it as a compliment.

I'll come back after a pint of Jameson's (if it ain't Irish, its not whiskey http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif) and tell you what I really think.

It looks to be about war and a soldier waking up on the frontlines? . .or some guy waking up drunk and deciding it would be a good idea to kill another guy(whos a televangelist?) over a russian gal?

or both meanings, at the same time. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
