Technically, You actually buy it from the Xbox Live Marketplace...

It's in a different currency. They should be equivalent to our US dollar amount.

£6.99 is more expensive than $9.99
$9.99 = £5.50

Also, it's £40/year (=~$75) for Xbox Live, but you can buy it for £33 (=~$60) from amazon.co.uk and other places

Not too horrible. A lot of things factor in. Including the economy of the local area. You still have to deal with the average income, which adjusts everything. In general, things charge what people are used to paying.

Not at all. It took me long enough to think of those things, even with my exposure to international internet pricing. It's not something you think of, right away. The more you know, the more you feel like you have Airhead moments. They say you learn something new everyday, so I guess I'm looking forward to more Airhead moments, in my future.
