Thought it was a big deal from a major manufacturer, Dell or Sony?

If you would be male, the heat radiation could harm your fertileness.
(slowing down the sperms)

But actually only nuclear radiation is proven to let occur cancer.
But at other there aren't really some sort of proves.
(whether positive nor negative)

So from the actual stand of science, as long you don't run your laptop with radioactive stuff, you aren't in danger to get cancer.

I good rule of thumb is that everything causes cancer.

Seriously, as a culture we've become rather paranoid about cancer. Yes, it's a horrible thing, and diagnosis of cancer often means you're coming to the end of your life.

The problem I have is this: Is living your life in fear of cancer really better than just having cancer? Look, if you're going to get cancer then guess what? You're going to get cancer. If trying to avoid it is going to interupt you from living, then it's probably not worth trying to avoid; that's like removing yourself from social and romantic situations because you're afraid you might end up with a friend that dies in a car accident, or you'll find yourself romantically involved with someone that will one day break your heart.

When the hell did life become about playing it safe? It used to be about living while you can!

It does give off radiation...that is true...but so does your cell phone, your TV, your computer monitor, and such and such.

As long as you don't keep the thing on your crotch for 200 straight hours without sleeping or eating...you will be fine.

Everything that has electrical activity, including your brain and nervous system, produce some form of radiation. The problem is that most people assume radiation of any kind is nuclear radiation when all radiation is, by definition, is a release of energy into the environment. This can be radiowaves, light, x-rays all the way to cosmic rays. The kind put off by a laptop are harmless so long as it isn't literally attached to you 24/7 and turned on during all of that time (where you would probably get burned faster than develop cancer of some sort).
