how do make file size smaller

i got a signature that is to big for the forum (like it says in my sig) now how do i make it smaller?

Well, there's a couple ways.

You can make a it smaller file type, like a .gif or a .jpg

To do that, when you save the file, go to "Save as" and right below where you name the file, you should have a file type list.

You can also make the picture itself smaller.

Most picture viewers have options for resizing pictures.
Making the picture smaller was already mentioned by the Sgt, but I'll add this just in case the OP isn't aware of it yet.
