And everything thats again wrong with mmos and mmo player mentality. Right up to the crappy ass design that pretty much says "Hey good job beating everything else, now we're just gonna throw skill out the window and throw something stupidily large at you! You know the kind of thing you need to be obscenely high leveled, or the perfect class (b rank Bil kills my 56 newman figunner in 3 hits) or you may as well not bother!"

Tried it twice tonight on B with friends and pretty much decided on the spot I'm not ever bothering with that waste of time anymore. All it is besides poor design is a tool for powergamers to speed rush through their levels and classes to the end. Which pretty much defeats the purpose of playing mmos anyway. As it's not about the end, it's not about xp/time ratios, its not about grinding the same mometastic map over and over, well if you can grind on it being the proper class, and it's not about getting to the top fast as possible. Unless you're playing WoW anyway.

And that's what gets me, Bruce's reeks of WoW design, it's a fricking raid dungeon done mini style. That kind of stuff doesn't need to be in PSU in the slightest. Anything that gives that kind of reward that fast if you have the right classes is just gonna make people level faster and bitch more when they get to the top looking for something else to do. and pretty much demeans the point of having a good class level, when all we need to do now is sit in there 24/7 and be max in a week. Who needs to actually take the time to reach a goal anymore, and have the sastisfaction of knowing the effort you put in paid off finally. When there's the best grind map out there to rush through that silly game I thought we were playing to enjoy, not reach the non exsistant end of by treating it as job #2.

Stupidest thing ever added, PSU would be a lot better off without this, and I hope future updates do without more places like this. There's a difference beween a challenge (which Bruce isn't) and just fricking cheap shots (which Bruce is) where the only way to beat the powergamer design of boss Bils is to powergame right back. All the skill and cordination in the world meaning jack **** when you're one shotted by a lucky spin.

But I'm sure the powergamers will love it *sigh* more power to them, if they want to treat PSU like a job let them, I'd rather have fun with my game time. And finding two copernias on a Mad creatures A run beats wasting the same amount of time in Bruce's anyday.

1. This quest is more from PSO than WOW They are not trying to copy WOW
2. Im sorry that you couldnt do it....
3. All of my friends have done this and we do not spam it im sorry but most people I find do play for fun. This quest is fun but not after 300 times.
4. Why are you complaning that we got a content update and asking for less in times to come?

I really dislike when players call others "n00bs" just because they have trouble with a difficult mission. Just because they don't live up to your standards of what a player should or shouldn't find difficult doesn't mean you have start the childish n00b chants.

He found it difficult and his perception of the level design isn't wrong. It's simply his viewpoint. Leave it at that.

I have a bone to pick with ol' Bruce too.
I can't even get thru his lousy dungeon because it's full of glitches! I've been DC'd out of it every time I tried, and the first it froze my playstation. Also, with all the people in there, and Bruce too, I can barely move thanks to lag.

Does bruce have to yell every other minute and block my screen with his big fat face and text? My disk grinds constantly in the station without him blathering all over it. No, he doesn't seem MOME bad yet, but escorts have never been my thing. If they want to try and bring back C-mode, that's cool, but why bring in the guy?

I see it as something to draw the "pwerlvlrs" out of Deragan...but also that it could have a use. If you wanted to snag some quick levels to make a better place more fun, you could use it as a tool. Say, if class lvls get insanely long to lvl up, and regular missions are just too slow to get you there, you could run a couple Bruce, and have what you wanted. I am riiight below an important cutoff right now, and want a fast lvl so I can play with friends elsewhere. If this board can get me to the cutoff faster, I'll play it, and then go do what I want.

If people over-do it, and then complain there's nothing left for them...thats a bit their own fault. It's fun to explore, but you can play how you want. People got mad at PSO after over-doing HeatSword for exp. I agree with the "Chill, variety, branch out, it's social" bit there...if that's your bag. I DO appriciate them bringing a bit of a puzzle element back...but the execution (mind you I never got thru the whole thing) so far seems a bit so-so-ish, compared with Cmode. However, Bruce mentions this is only the first. I'm curious as to what they'll come up with next though.

Actually, it's designed similar to challenge mode from PSO, which started back in 2001, waaaaaay before World of Warcraft was around.

Have you considered wearing earth armor and a mega/rainbow to help counter Bil de Bears when they go into Zangief mode? You can drop the damage they do with that move considerably.
