What is better?

I'm sure we all know that line shields are expensive (well to me anyway). So my situation is this.

I'm getting ready to buy a cresline. I've looked it up here and spent about an hour researching and weighing my options of how to get one. I already have a synthesis board for it.

So here's my question. Would it be easier to shell out the money for one and buy straight from a shop, or do I synthesise one? (The only thing I need are nanocarbons which I can buy or hunt for effectively in about 5 levels)

If your PM is capable of synthing armor, then that's the better option, since you get to choose what element you want for the shield line.
Otherwise, player shops are a better alternative. Just be sure to check the prices.

I find armor typically much cheaper to get from the NPC, though if you already have the necessary materials, you should synth it.
