Who will win Super Bowl XLI?

In chilly Chicago, the Bears put the explosive Saints offense on ice, winning the NFC Championship Game 39-14. Their opponent in Super Bowl XLI on Feb. 4 will be Indianapolis, as the Colts edged the Patriots 38-34 in a wild comeback win.

If Chicago's defense comes to play, and they can somewhat nullify Indy's great offense, and Rex doesn't poop all over his jersey, then my boys the bears will win. (hopefully) It'll be a great game; pretty much everybody around me is either a Colts or a Bears fan so I'm looking forward to punching, brawling, and great commericals; oh, and the game itself.

I too, watch the Pats-Colts game. We kicked our own butt on that one with some bogus penalties. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I hope Peyton breaks his arm.

Pats-Colts game was awesome, walked into Outback checked the score at 21-3 when I was done with dinner they had won. Amazing.

I hate Tom Brady http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Im partial to both teams winning but being I want to win the local pool Ill say the Bears

They played good ball, I'll give them that, but keep in mind that they never actually took the LEAD until there was 1:00 left in the whole game. If the Pats had't gotten that Roughing the Passer call when the Colts were on the 22 they might have held them off to just a Field goal which would have tied it up and given the time to make one more scoring drive themselves.

I love NFC to death, but this is Payton/Dungy's year. There's no getting around it. The defense stepped up, so there's no more: "The Colts are the worst run stoppers in the leauge..." No... They're ready. Payton needs to chill out and play. If Rex wants to win, he needs to stop playing Backyard football. Throwing the ball in the air randomly, and expecting it to get the receiver, just hanging them out to dry. The Bears or the NFC for that matter is not used to Paytons playing style. He'll call alot of mixed signals, make you think it's a run, make your saftey bite on the play action and TOUCHDOWN. This will be very interesting. And tell the bears not to blitz....

Final score: Colts 42 Bears 38

I never quite understood how it is that the Patriots seemed to have turned into the Yankees of the NFL. Ah well, 12-2 still ain't a bad post-season record.

And furthermore, the Colts did not win that game for being a great team, and even so it wasn't Peyton who did it. Their running backs carried them to victory... after the Pats handed them a "Roughing the Passer" call on the 22-yard line >_< Had that not happened, that game would have gone into overtime and you KNOW Brady and the boys would have won.

As for them Lions, at least they're consistent!
What some teams wouldn't give for some consistency.

A quarterback named Gross-man should win the Super Bowl, its only right. (and after all the flak he took this year for "not being able to win the big game," which used to be Peyton's shtick)

Defense wins championships, offense puts butts in seats?

You're talking about a guy who broke records
of some of the best QBs to ever grace the NFL... Example, most touchdowns thrown is a single season(49). Has the highest passer rating ever, shown up in the playoffs year upon year but for some reason couldn't get it done... Plus he's 35, he's ageing, so needs to get it done now. Tom Brady... Won 3 superbowls, HE'S like 26-28 years old! A young guy with years ahead of him. Let someone else get a turn...

Oh, so now age is a factor? Put it this way. Even if Peyton were to retire tomorrow, he'd already be a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame. It's not like winning the Super Bowl really means anything, LOL.

Two Words.... DAN MARINO.

WrathofGOD

Grossman is the most inconsistent player in the league, he doesn't have what it takes to win a game like this. Their defense can't win every game for them.

Aite if we gonna talk about Dan Marino then im gonna chime in.

Dont get me wrong Marino was one of the best quarterbacks to play in the NFL. But that is the number one thing you hear when you mention his name, "Oh he was good but he couldnt win the big game. He never won a superbowl."

I mean that just kind of leaves a taint on you career by playing fantastic but not showing up in the big games.

Look at Peyton Manning untill this year. You used to talk about how he would play great but he could never beat the Pats in the AFC championship game.

Peyton is a lock to get in the Hall of Fame nomatter what but its just the legacy you make and no matter how much it seems irrelevant to some stat freaks and such, winning the super bowl IS a big deal. LoL.

Not saying that you dont think it is i just felt like sayin that trystan.

OK, so your entire reason why the Colts will win is because it's Peyton's "destiny?" Please. Wouldn't it make more of an impact if the Bears win it, giving Rex Grossman a Super Bowl win at such an early age, instead of just topping off the long and storied career of Peyton Manning.

Remember folks, a win for Rex is a win for Jews everywhere http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif! *grabs asbestos underwear and RUNS!*

No i never said that they will win because it his destiny.

What i was tryin to say was that the superbowl is almost like a legacy type game that defines your career.

There will always be guys like Dan Marino that will be great but never win a championship. But if peyton wins than it will be his championship that he deserves.

But Rex deserves it too because of all the heat he too day in and out about how inconsistent he was. This is gonna be a great game on sunday.

In truth... It dosn't matter if you DESERVE it. I deserve a high school diploma for all my hard work, but if I don't put pencil to paper i'm not getting one, right? Payton and Rex are nice guys DESERVE a win, but the team that plays better gets the Lombardi...

Colts reign in the rain!

Kelvin Hayden's interception return sealed the victory for Indianapolis.

Peyton Manning, Tony Dungy and the Indianapolis Colts have won that elusive NFL title with a 29-17 victory against the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.

The Colts moved the ball well, but the big story might be their defense, which forced six turnovers.
