Why some-players hack in the normal one???,its just for fun or madness???,well tell me why becose i dont know.

There's different types of hackers.
-Those who like the gameplay but hate the grind / hunting of weaps
-Those who are general dicks and look for the easiest way to make people bitch and moan (PSOs security nearly invites them)
-Those who are into game modification. There are BB hacks that change textures.

The main draw for which why I might delve into that is to bypass some of the weapon grind and then test stuff that's hidden.

Real havkers do it fot the intrigue, to go where their not supposed to. That is our game. Then you have lamers that use this knowledge to defeat the object of a recreational game. To entertain. I have had run ins with Datel since 1992. When their Action Replay allowed ppl the abiity to mod values in the code monitor changes of address/data registers in patterns, so on.

In on line of code that £40(I'm talking 1990's here) cartrgidge was rendered useless by the very hackers from the product orriginated. Simple really, it was moving an odd(ie not even) address into the second copper register(that was never EVER hardly used.. but the AR needed to'grab' that address so when the machine retuerned it would pass it'throuh' so to speak). Problem is, od adressing, well you know:). One line of code [N]move.w #3,(copper2); $dff056 I think).

My point is confusing but real hackers don't spend hours on a game so they can cheat at it. They do it because and if they can. Sadly, most geeks like me pass on the source code to others tha do this, and the chain starts. I would prob be very rich if I was not so narcistic and axted more like Billy G!!!

For real though, I've posted this before, and I will po it again. Don't confuse real hackers with
'cheaters' who just pick up info on a newsgroup or whatever then apply it to a game.

Another one got caught today, it's all over the papers. "Teenager
Arrested in Computer Crime Scandal", "Hacker Arrested after Bank Tampering"...
