This is no big deal, and all of you are probably already aware of this, but it totally shocked me! I was creating a new character to just mess around with. While creating the character, I rotated it with the L and R triggers. I happened to notice that if I pressed the button lightly, the character would turn slowly. If I pressed the button hard, the character would turn quickly. The trigger buttons are analog! Freakyness!

Hah! And my friend said that the PS2 was the first console to have analog buttons!

The two analog triggers were specifically designed for racing/vehicle games, to work gas and brake with analog. They are better than buttons because you can get a better feel with the triggers and they have a long throw.
