I'm not sure if this falls under an illegal part of the rules of the board, so if it does and this gets locked, sorry.

Anyways, I'm curious if anyones found a converter that would take a DVD and format it so you could put it on your ipod. I'm going to google it, I was just curious if anyone had any firsthand knowledge of prog's.

So what you're saying... Is that you want to take media that you have paid for... And watch it on a media playing device? Foolishness! This can't be allowed!

In all seriousness, you're permitted to create MP3s from CDs that you have purchased, you're just not permitted to distribute them. Why this should be different for DVDs, I don't know. If it's not legal, then it should be.

On the grounds that you are talking about viewing your legally obtained media, and not illegally re-distributing your legally obtained media, I don't see that you're breaking any rules.

its not only from your point of view, i know some video producers and news casters, that this helps them a lot because they can record their news shows, or television commercial and record inside an Ipod to show them to another costumer or another tv producer.

Haha, well put Meira. Thanks Violet; I found a few that worked well, I was just curious to see if anybody had any first hand experience.
