I don't really watch the shows, but I read the books.

Wait what you're kidding right? Not having filler is like saying it might actually have a decent storyline now, that can't be right http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Those who haven't read the manga, be prepared to be taken on a wild ride by part 2, I think. ;]

Oh Dhylec, I've only read the beginning of the Manga for part 2 and I'm already excited http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

And believe it or not, the last 2 fillers (219 and 220) are actually pretty awesome. Even though it DID have a generic looking filler bad guy (THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME!). And yes, much like everyone else, I hated the fillers too, so yeah, these 2 ARE good.

I haven't gotten to see the fillers yet except for 220, only because I found out that it was the episode when Naruto leaves to train with Jiraiya.

Then why did you reply?

This is a serious question. If people are not interested in a subject, why follow up on it? Look, you increased your post count by one. Look, you bumped a thread you had no interest in. You also failed to broaden the topic in any way.

I don't intend for this to be a flame, but I am genuinely interested in why people do this.

I've not read any of the manga for Naruto, personally. But I've looked around online to find out what happens to a few characters, and the hints I've discovered have me fairly excited about what's going to happen over the next... season or so of episodes (crap, they need that long just to get past the filler, and get to the point).

Personally, I didn't mind the filler episodes. There are some interesting characters in the extended network of randoms that come along. I don't find Naruto, Sasuke, and the chick, can't remember her name, very interesting. I do find Shikumaru(sp), Shino, and Lee to be very interesting, along with those dorks from the Sand Village.

with stupid posts, yes. s'why FKL doesn't count posts.
Besides, whocares about post count, amirite? You'll never catch up to Abdur anyway.

QFT XD

Although they got really lazy with the filler episodes, there was a lot of chracter development with the secondary characters, so that was cool.

Hopefully, this'll be the last of them *wishful thinking* http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif Naruto is a pretty long series without fillers.

Meh, so-so series so far, it depends on what they decide to do with it, I mean it was steadily improving before the filler but then the fillers hit and well ya... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

It been a about a year and some since then, so I'm not keeping my hopes up.

You know this episode (133):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nepC1TMjrrU

was the only reason I even kept up with Naruto, I wanted to see a good fight sence... after all reading the manga takes care of the story aspect of it.

Half of me is happy, cause it was, well, FINALLY part 2. Part of me was sad cause, really? In all reality, NOTHING special happened.

It was cool though. If I had a fan character in the Naruto world, he'd totally have a scarf like Konohamaru, minus the complete retardedness of Konohamaru http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I have to confess I am new to Naruto... today's episode seemed to do well, absolutely nothing. This is actually normal? because I thought the episodes before were actually kinda interesting.

Nothing happened because it was the first episode. Though I'm quite sure the new story is going to disappoint me (a year's worth of anticipation raises your hopes to celestial levels), I'm quite planning on following this story. The artistry of this episode alone shows alot went into it, and there's nothing to stop me from believing that they won't continue that. Next episode is a fight scene, so that may liven things up for action starved fans (as opposed to the just action sequences we've been getting).

Over the past summer I had almost nothing to do, so basically I watched up to episode 200 in a few weeks, and I have to say the show was much better than I expected and I began to watch it regularly. But about 3 weeks after I began watching it hit episode 200 and started sucking with all the filler, but now I think I may start from 200 and work my way up to this new fangled non-filler episode everyone is talking about.

On another note why is it that a lot of anime's get to the point where the characters are so powerful that they fight so fast that they don't even bother to animate it. I know that DBZ reached that point in the cell games, but I liked it better when Goku used kayoken and the legs and arms were actually animated. I bring this up because it is beginning to happen with naruto it seems. e.g. In the sasuke naruto battle, they mostly fight with their magical spirit energy (if i remember coorectly) and there is less hand to hand combat which is cooler.

It's just a shame to see the animators of a good show get lazy :/

I wouldn't bother with the fillers. Just skip to the new series. Nothing important happens in the fillers, because the fillers didn't happen.

i actually liked the filler... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif i get tired of DBZ chest beating. i like it when they flesh out the characters' regular lives with little bits of nonsense. unfortunately there was quite a bit of stretching in some of those fillers... but even still, seeing the characters interact you start to see how characters eventually break away from their creator and start to animate with a life of their own. i always loved that when i did creative writing; eventually your creations start to animate themselves and tell their own stories.
