Partner Machine matchups opinions

So I have a fortefighter, who runs around with his 410 mag, and it's fine. I sometimes wonder what if would be like to have gun mag, or even a 450.

So feel free to chime in with the job you are currently doing, and what PM you think would be ideal to go soloing with.

If you feel you can do enough damage on your own, the 450 is quite nice for melees that can heal themselves, at least on the PS2/PC version where the AI's been fixed.

I like my 410 with my Fortetecher. When you're soloing, like it or not, the enemies are going to get close to you at some point...helps to have her fight them off...she does great damage when buffed too. Her Assault Crush does ~500 per hit (1000 for the two) when I have Shifta on her. Her Spinning Break does ~700 (1400)...and when she does the whole combo it's incredibly useful.

I was thinking about a 450, but I don't like the idea of her becoming weaker just because the enemies on a certain planet aren't the right element. As for 440 and 430, I haven't been impressed with the NPCs shooting skills/how they acquire targets, so I think I'll stay away from them (haven't seen one in action, but my friend has a level 79 armor PM, so I'll see one soon). 420...sounds cool, and I was considering one for a while, but I liked the 410's weapon set better.

I have a GH-430 for my fortefighter. I've been pretty impressed by her fighting skills and I expected much less. She fights very well in boss battles(Well I only tried De ragan with her). Though there are some problems in her fighting ability. She will turn into Ms. Strafe a plenty if A: In tight spaces with her rifle. B: She follows whoever hits something and gets confused and runs to a whole bunch of different enemies.

My 410 works great when I'm a Fortefighter. Even better when I was Wartekker (her and Laia helped up my lack of damage). 410 + Laia + me= death, mostly. It is more difficult now without Resta, but she's actually not too bad about healing, even though she's a fighter pm. Not as good as a Force Pm, but she does it.

my advice?dont get a PM, they constantly spam "I'm goin in" "cover me" and "I'm takin it up the rear"(or something like that)and they die too much to. the only PM I'd want is a PM 420 who sits back and enjoys the lack of violence in his meaningless robot life.btw...PM 420s still suck anyway...if only they were truly 420...*sigh*

If you play PC / PS2 then its probably best to get a 410 - 20, 30, 40. Scape Dolls and Mates are basically unlimited. To solo easier on the 360 though, the 450 is quite useful when items are expensive.

That's the one with the Double Saber, right? If she uses Tornado Dance, dear God that is going to be the most overpowered PM ever.

GH450 is great for all but fortetechers, becaue they're like fortetechers, just they can spam resta without complaining!

I love the 420, but i Wish she engaged without me have to go almost melee...

My partners are Laia and Leo WT.. mostly because Laia has good defense. Leo is nice when he nanoblasts he can do 800+ but is much weaker defensively. I'd defiantly have to kick him on bosses if I wanted S rank. De ragan S in particular since if he gets caught in fire he will almost immediately die, while Laia will block most of it.

Not sure on PM, probably not 450 since I'd resta for about 700ish.

im a lvl 50 fighgunner and i just got my 420 last night finaly ( i had the 410 but i reset it) IMO she is perfect for me cuz she doesnt stick right buy me like the 410 did she goes and fights her own battles (sometimes i have to lead her to them) and shes pretty good with healing she hasnt died all day and i havent healed her once with any items so im pretty happy with taking the extra time to get her.

Yeah, I'm planning on a 420 for my ForteG Cast. I hope she do good for him.

And for my FigG Human, I have a 450 which is like having a mini force!

does the 450 heal more often or just as much as the other ones do thats my only concern cuz i was thinking about making that one for my beast fortefighter cuz that would be sweet to not have to worry about having healths on me if she heals alot.

The 420 acts pretty screwy- she's either diving into groups of enemies and rocking them... or staring into space as I get pummeled...
