Ok, I think I've heard this rumor before, but is it possible to obtain a SS rank after a normal battle?

Your question is a bit vague. It can be interpreted to mean cards or the rank for the battle. If you meant cards, you can win them after a match. In the case of rank titles, the highest you can earn is S.
