Compairing SE2 burn in LL A mission, it does 73 damage to the non pannon mobs in there. I just got SE3 & it only went up to 97. No I know SE4 is supposed to be freaking insanely great, but , I just hate to grind 10 more levels of bullets just to be disappointed again. Can anyone with SE4 fire bullets , go test out your rifle in LL A mission , the one with level 30 mobs there. Let me know how much your burn SE4 does to the bigger mobs , anything but the pannons.

Also , does anyone know exactly how SE works ? From my testing it seems to be a pct of the mobs HP, so in S missions you'll get the most bang for your buck. But, I can't even do S missions yet on my ranger, so I can't really test anything much else out atm.

If anyone has any info on SE , please do tell. I am totaly new to SE as of yesterday , thanks

Yes for dot(damage over time) se's the damage is based target maxhp %.

Burn - dmg every 2 seconds for 10 seconds
Lvl1 - 2% every 2 seconds(total 10%)
Lvl2 - 3% every 2 seconds(total 15%)
Lvl3 - 4% every 2 seconds(total 20%)
Lvl4 - 5% every 2 seconds(total 25%)

Poison (earth) - 2% dmg every 3 seconds
Lvl1 - 12 second duration (total 8%)
Lvl2 - 18 second duration (total 12%)
Lvl3 - 24 second duration (total 16%)
Lvl4 - 30 second duration (total 20%)

Infection (darkness) - 5% dmg every 4 seconds
Lvl1 - 20 second duration (total 25%)
Lvl2 - 24 second duration (total 30%)
Lvl3 - 28 second duration (total 35%)
Lvl4 - 32 second duration (total 40%)

For monsters that take a long time to kill I like using the dark bullet. Plus you can freeze an enemy while they are infected but you can't if they are burned. Very few things are immune to infect also.

Also, SE4 is required to land status effects on minibosses (like SEED Vances, Gol Dova, Svaltus etc.)

I could have sworn Burn started from 3% damage, but i don't remember.

Rifle bullets start at SE lvl 2 so maybe thats why you noticed 3%. You can hit some of those 'big' type monsters with lvl 3 SE but it is very rare.

I've set a Tengogh on fire with SE3 Burn, so it's possible.

Does the SE lvl increase the chance to infect or just the damage?

Just the effects, I think. Chance to land is based off stats and weapon type, I believe.
