He/she is only level 15. The Sigh of a God is about the best thing you can get at that level. As for the pictures, they used a video capture card.

Yeah that would be great. I, well, i enjoyed Ep3 alot it was definately a change but what with losing my subcription to PSO GC i never really dove deep into it. However i knew it would be fun, i would've love to play it online even if i wouldn't be any good. I'm sure with such open competition as the "online world" There are plenty of taticians better than I.

Any videos of online battles would be great.

Hey, i would just enjoy watching a high level match, intense, heck even if it is 4-player style, infact that would be better.

You'll need a video capture device and a lot of hard drive space in order to capture a decent Episode 3 battle.

I found a couple of old battle videos yesterday, along with some card auctions. I'll see about uploading some of them later today.

I found some old videos from the time period when I hit 100%. Here are the first two:

The card battle takes place immediately after the card auction. Aneka (Tact) and I squared off against McRing (Saiffy) and Gold (PJ). Gold constructed a new machine deck for the match to try out his new Epsilon. Aneka used a Break deck with several creatures of various alignments. I used an all-around Kylria deck, while McRing used a Relmitos Slicer/Double Saber deck.

The match started off pretty well for my side. However, I soon ran into problems because I didn't have any def cards. They were all at the bottom of my deck. Fortunately, I was able to use the appropriate ones when I really needed them.

The match is fairly long, but does convey what a typical online match would be like. You have to closely coordinate your offensive/defensive strategies with your partner. Also, you can see where there were a couple of turning points in the battle.

After the match ends, you can see where I obtain the Del Rappy and Red Ring cards. Since I won the Dark Flow in the auction, I didn't receive the final cards until I competed in a battle.

The videos are encoded with XVid. If anyone would be interested in seeing the follow-up video "Del Rappy versus Epsilon", let me know and I'll upload it.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the battle video also contains a glitch where a Sinow Red shows up with misplaced textures.

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did you have Z pressed for the entire match? ;x Maybe you're used to it, but it just bugged me...a lot.. Other than that, video was fine.
And you should upload that other video too.
Didn't you record an auction once when I was there? XD I'd watch that also if you had it.

Having Z pressed is a good thing, it allows you to see what action cards and in what order the opponent uses them.

The idea behind this battle is that Gold wanted test his Epsilon against my Del Rappy. So, I partnered with McRing and Gold chose a COM teammate. McRing kept the COM distracted while Gold and I waited to summon the monsters. The video begins on the turn where I summon Del Rappy.

Here is a short overview of the decks that were being used:
Me: High-Cost Ruins Deck using Rufina
Gold: High-Cost Machines Deck using Reiz
McRing: Saligun deck with double sabers.
COM: Ohgun with Pan-Arms

The video is about 10 minutes long (100 MB) and was encoded with XViD.

I remember in the Sonic Team page there were uploaded videos of the matches of the official tournaments like famitsu Cup and so on.
I have no idea if they are still there. You can try to investigate. I may check too. I even believe I downloaded some video from official cups.

I see how since the Z button was pressed how it could annoy people, I mean if the screen didn't change to become darker it wouldn't bother to have it on all the time, but it does and just makes me feel like it's different. VR-Raiden I didn't know it did that though. Thanks for the info.

Some card affects doesn't work. For example: Guard Creature, like Pan Arms, doesn't work. Guykild elude and heavy hit doesn't work also.

You know, as bad as I want to start playing this game online, I just can't bring myself to play on any of these private servers. Broken card functions? Thats like trying to play chess only being able to move half of your pieces. Way too much strategy involved in this game to mess around like that. Sega needs to stop bullsh#@ting around and just release the game on XBL arcade so we can play the game the right way.

Agreed. As unlikely as it is, nothing would make me happier than a XBLA/PSN release of EP3. They ended the game much too early :(

although a XBLA release of PSO Ep3 seems unlikely, i think the announcement (or is it even officially announced yet?) of Sonic Adventure for XBLA seems like a step in the right direction =)

i mean, hey, Sega has arrived at a point where they port their Dreamcast games to XBLA, so GamerCube isn't that far anymore ^^

To counter that, the private server i'm on started to fix ep3. According to the info about 30% of all broken cards have been fixed already. Shouldn't take too long before that's all fixed so you can enjoy EP3 online there.

there's still more to be fixed than just the card effects, tho.

in fact, CPS told me recently that fixing all Card effects is just the easiest problems to be fixed.

but it's great news, i hope they keep up the work! i mighte be able to help in my holidays, but right now i'm too busy..

They're working on it every single day, fixing bug by bug. Theyre also looking for more people to help fixing or testing fixed stuff. You are free to PM me and i'll show you the way to the topics on said private server's forum.

Fruit Battle:

In this battle I use a deck called Fruit. In my online days, people loved it when I used this deck on their team in team battles. This deck is quite a defensive wall. This deck is heavy on defense cards and can protect you from just about anything. It always ensured we'd have a fighting chance in any battle no matter how strong the opponent was.

I miss this game, it was enjoyable, but without others to play against online it lost its appeal, I hope it can be revived in some form with online play.

I only remember a few of the special events online:
- Dreamaga (2ppl team, map was a gigantic D with the inside of the D filled in, one person fights there while the other one fought on the outside of the D)
- Game Informer (I remember this being a downloadable mission The 'G' and 'I' I think were connected by a line and it's single player and you fought against 3 enemies I think by going in somewhat like a straight line.

Mostly when I was online, I mostly just played in the tourneys (very nice when you're doing laundry in the process) and played with the jukebox.
