Story Questions(Want Spoilers)

Hello all,
I was curious if anyone would be willing to give me a general synopsis of the offline story because I want to have a better understanding of the online story missions...i never wanted to complete the offline because I like to play online whenever i get the chance . If some one would not mind letting me know what happened offline I would really appreciate it. If its not ok to write on this board possibly someone could private message me. Thanks alot!

Goddamn, man, it'll take you all of a weekend to get through, maybe 20 hours, especially since you've done online and know about grinding, synthing, leveling PAs, using Shifta, etcetera. <_<

I played through story mode thinking it would help me understand the online better. I finished it and thought that's it. This has almost nothing to do with episode two. Personally I wish I hadn't wasted all those few hours that could have been better spent on my character.

thanks everyone...but i don't know about you but i don't have twenty hours to devote to playing just like that....and when i do get the time I like to spend in online

The online story missions are single player.. if you have time to play THOSE.. then you have time to play the offline missions. No one says you have to devote a ton of time to go through it, it is actually relatively short (12 chapters, which last about the same amount of time as the online ones, maybe less in some cases) so it shouldn't be a problem.. They're both single player related, you could do one chapter of offline and sign online and do whatever, as I assume you currently do with the online missions. (Play an online story mission, then go do whatever) There is practically no difference here.

Trying to create a summary of the story is difficult though, a lot of facts are condensed and thrown at you in short bursts here and there.. many things I'm sure many people overlook or don't think about that are actually quite interesting if you place them into perspective.. I can guarantee you that any summary given here will be lacking in comparison to just experiencing it yourself.

Even if you work all week long and only have a few hours on the weekend, I don't see any difference from playing the online story missions from the offline ones, when they take the same time and play out as single player anyway.. If you actually care about the story, you'd take the time out for it regardless.. I'm a writer myself, and the thought of summaries like this make me cringe anyway, but really, I don't see any given reason not to play it yourself. (Hell you could take as long as you liked doing it, by spreading out when you went through the offline missions, and spending the majority of time online, so again, it isn't as though it requires a lot out of you.)

Wait... so log on and load up the Story mode http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif Many of us made the mistake of just going online and then playing offline we are saddened by the fact that a 1 star saber online has about 2x the amount of PP as online so we stop, and then ooh then they released the Episode 2 online... and everyone started playing those, then more got added, and we learned Ethan was a criminal, so many of us sucked it up.

PLAY STORY MODE ITS ONLY 20 HOURS, plus each chapter should take you probably an hour to an hour and a half to finish, a few more hours if you decide to beef up Ethan a bit

so take the small minuet hit to your leveling and spend about an hour or so in a chapter then go play online...

i said i don't get much time to play i don't wanna spend it playing offline rather benefit my character for the long term...thanks anyway though i've seen people make walkthrough of huge games if this was so short i was simply hoping someone could sum it up but nevermind don't really like the story mode online either

I was able to beat offline story in 20 hours, it was quite a short run. There isn't much to it though.

Ethan meets the maiden, ethan hates guardians, the vol brothers steal his sister's wallet, he never gets it back, divine maiden mirei tells everyone how great they are and how the holy light is the best thing ever, seed attack, leo helps ethan save his sister, and ethan helps the vol brothers, and still forgets about his sister's wallet, he joins the guardians and finds out his dad was the best one of all before dieing.

Ethan meets his new teammates Karen and Hyuga, they save a little kid and kill his pet piggy after meeting up with Curtz at the military. There was a fire seed mission somewhere in here, it was retarded. They go home after that. Oh, and they talk about Mellvore, the city that was destroyed because of A-Photons a bunch of years ago.

Ethan and his team are told they have to go and escort a scientist with stupid hair to the RELICS at raffon or some shit. You go through raffon, finally fight a boss after 5 hours of dicking arround, then you go to the relics, so it's like 2 missions in one. They do, the scientist finds an A-Photon thingie, and drops it off a cliff accidently OOPS, the relics have awakened, and they make thier way out and Magashi shows up to kill the doctor, laughs, and leaves. (He's the leader of the endrum collective, which are basically an evil military that works with the good military on parum.)

After this you meet up with Leucom Nav, who likes to grab Karen's ass because that's just how he rolls. You guys are to protect a train delivering a-photons to endrum collective, rogues are trying to take them. You ride the train, there are snakes on it. You kill the snakes, then the rogues, then the vol brothers, then magashi beats up Hyuga because he's the worst character in the game, then Headmaster Nav falls down because he's a clunky old robot, you fend the rogues off, magashi is pissed that the three of you weren't able to save all his a-photons from an attack of hundreds of rogues, even though he just stood arround doing nothing. You all go home and talk about how much of a dick magashi is.

Good news everyone, today we've been hired to guard the divine maiden, and you'll most certainly be killed. Ethan and crew go to neudaiz, which is heavily populated by people that don't dissapear when you get close to them, making it harder to find the assassin. Ethan finds him, he's a robot newman who blows up, the divine maiden tells ethan how sexy she thinks he is, he responds in a stereotypical fassion, she leaves and gets her ship attacked by flying monsters, ETHAN YOU GOTTA SAVE HER!! So you do, you fight the second boss in the game, oh, and there was a random annoying ice mission here too. Anyways, Karen has a FLASHBACK ABOUT HER PROBABLY DEPRESSING BACKSTORY WITH SEMI ANIMATED CUTSCENE OF PAINTED GLORY. She gets taken in by the church to help her heal because she collapsed. Ethan and Hyuga go home. Oh, you met maya somewhere here, but I forget where. Her boobs jiggle alot.

New planet again, this time it's Moatoob. You meet Leo again, and his 40 year old nephew who is 2 feet tall, Tonnio. You go to gallenigare mines, fight shit, fight the vol brothers, chase down Tonnio's girlfriend who's a rogue. Fight sinow beat S trio, rogue leader shows up to help. Magashi beats him up. Everyone goes home.

You go to neudaiz again, mirei disguises herself as karen and you and her and maya's boobs and hyuga go to neudaiz to save karen from her dad, who is evil and trying to fuse karen and mirei into one being (karen and mirei each have at tatoo that seals thier power, karen can't use techs while mirei is very unhealthy and is also dieing) You go through agata islands riding badass hover cycles over the lake, then you fight the second boss again who is exactly the same. You go into the temple and start part 2 of the mission. You kill alot of newmans, then mirei's dad accidently kills her with megid, he freaks out, summons the giant tank armor and you fight him in the third boss fight. Mirei dies and gives her power to karen, karen becomes the new divine maiden, her and ethan have a final battle and he gets the upper hand on her, she says there's nothing left for her to teach him, they are sad, he goes home.

Begin second half of the game. You and Maya and Lou and another scientist with stupid hair go to mellvore to activate the relics there and SAVE THIS WORLD. If all 3 giant relics towers on each planet are activated the seed will die forever (untill ep2 online when they're all still in existence). You go down there, fight the two headed dragon who is the fourth boss but really just the first boss again.

Now you guys go to kugu desert to save albert einstien. You ride yoshi, he breathes fire. Magashi attacks you in another tank, you kill him. Oh and you talk to the rogues again.

Back the neudaiz, you head to activate the shrine thing here, there's another fire mission here, an ice mission, all the way to the relics where karen has to activate the second of the three towers. Akward social interaction betwene karen and ethan, you fight SEED Magashi (coolest sub-boss in the game) then you go home.

Moatoob again. You go back to the desert again (not again), but this time you have a tank (yay). It does like 10k damage with every shot and is awesome. You try to help the military at thier desert base, Curtz tells you to fuck off because he's a racist robot. You have an ice mission in the desert, which is the best mission in the offline game for getting cash and exp easy (I can net 80k each run), then you fight onmagohg. The tower is activated, the seed all melt, Curtz takes off his helmet and tells you how great he thinks you humans are now, and beasts. Everyone laughs.

Final chapter, SEED HIVE is commin to reinfect the planet, Ethan dicks arround trying to get a ride there to save hyuga and maya who went there to save the doctor with stupid hair. The rogues help you get to the HIVE with karen's help, who is disguised as a temple guard. You, Leo, Tonnio, Karen, and Lou split up and try to save hyuga and maya because they're main characters, you do. The doctor turns into a seed, you kill him, maya cries, then you, karen, Leo, and Tonnio fight magashi, who has turned into the last boss. You win because this is offline mode and the fight is nerfed like crazy, then there's an ending where Karen hugs ethan and cries and anime love is in the air. Credits roll, ethan, hyuga, and karen tell you that they want you to play online mode. That's it.


So basically, the seed are bad, magashi is bad, mirei and karen are sisters, mirei dies, hyuga sucks, maya is hot, and there's generic anime cliche's all arround.
