Can't change clothes in PSU

In PSU on offline story mode I'm trying to change my clothing, but every time I do, even though the new set is equipped, it still shows me as wearing the old set.
Is this a known bug with a known fix?

There was a glitch online with clothes that many took advantage until ST patched it. Perhaps you are experiencing this glitch even offline.

Are you playing the XBox 360 version of the game? If so, this is a known bug. You can blame the last round of patching for that problem. The suggestion that Clumsyorchid gave was to avoid changing clothes until another patch has been released.
