Sega has said EU PSO wont be before November 2003, which is just what happened to V2 on the DC you can help us get it released early with gamer pressure. Even if you don’t live in the EU sign it any way you must have ppl you wan to play with from all over the world.

Please sign the petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/phantasy/petition.html) to get PSO/GC released before the November 2003 official date.

Ouch. November 2003? Chalk another tally up for reasons why Sega of Europe sucks. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Well...at least those Europeans lucky enough to have BB and an XBOX will get the game in four short months.

Kal on what basis are you giving out an estiate release date for EU PSO X-Box? Seriously, the Us versions release date is still up in the air.

Umm is that v.1 or 2 or is it Episode1&2 ? And do you know if EU will have to pay to play it online?

lucky you....

whats about that again?
each day theres another announcement/rumor about this. this is starting to make me sick... (if sega goes on like that, they'll kill the game - at least for europeans who played the dc-versions)

ok, i'll definitely wait (since i just dont have the time now) but once christmas is over, i'll rethink my importing-options...

and... you really think the public relations departement of sega europe knows their true release-dates?

i got so far:
01.2.2003 ! (from a online-shop... so not very relyable)
27.2.2003 - forum post about an 'official' announcement by infogrames
14.3.2003 - from a forum post according to a swedish page that claims to know nintendo's great online-day for europe.
october 2003 - the old release-date by infogrames
november 2003 - this nightmare-date, you mentioned...

yeah it is gettin pretty rediculous now. whats worse is that importing still has its drawbacks. so whatever us PAL gamers decide to do.... we're still screwed...

Um... Nintendo is saying Q1 2003 with modem and BBA.
Even in the official nintendo europe website says that.

But is true that always there's time for push back.
Heck I'll sign.

I'm sorry but this is a pretty poor reason to start a petition. Sure you might dent one of Sonic Team's member's mind, but that's it. It won't effect it. It's like asking an artist to create an album with all new material with just a weeks notice. This is not a thing to rushed. As much as I'd like producers to release products early, they need time to create, refine, translate, and etc. They've got to check the networks, the safeguards. So don't start a petition just to rush things. Slow and steady wins the race.

lol amoralist. The late release sate of PSO is not because translation or making the PAL version stuff. IS because they decided it like this.

better than no date... they can always cancel it like Shenmue 2, oh wait, that was only for US DC, oh wait, I can still hold a grudge for that....

but anyways, they still have to work with networking and other shit

you shouldn't even have to petition for a game to come out early

the thing is when i imported V2 the jp version it played brilliantly on my EU PAL DC no worse than my EU one did. this mean that JP/US/EU cannot be that much different can they?
so it should be a case a slight fine tuning to change the region, look at it the Xbox versions jp and us any way were finished before the us GC was released?
how? by getting their finger out and working flat out. they are losing money by not releasing it sooner. i ave already spent money on 5 games since the US release, but when i was in the prime of playing JpV2 i did 'nt buy anew game for over 9 months. just my 3 monthly HL it was great. plz sign the petition

WWWWWWWWWW lol what's that avatar!!

About the delay of PSO Episode 1&2. The game doeasn't need language translation. And look at games like mario sunshine or starfox adventures. In something like a month after they have been released needing translation and all.

Exactly. It's simply pathetic of the distributors to delay the product for so long. Still, I highly doubt that it'll be released in November. March still seems like a realistic date.

hm... i rather dont think that it will be released that late... since i got several claimed release-dates till now.

sure - besides of the translation etc. the biggest problem is the serverpark that has to be set up for that game. this can take some time.

but since i still have my fun with the dc-version i simply dont need any new version...
(yes, splitscreen and offlinemuling would be nice, and yes doing actually some serious damage with techs would be nice, too, but well, its actually the same game)

... i start to not care for that game anymore. thanks nintendo, sega, infogrames. i'll save lots of money that way. (or maybe not... since i know myself well enough ^_^;)
