I had gotten all the way to Hard Caves prior to today, with very little to show. Two non-percented varistas and a visk. I'd been through forest and caves a million times, and basically ended up with a G-Assassin's for my efforts (which is my main weapon now).

Yet today alone I manage to unlock Ruins, find 4 varistas, a visk, 4 blade dances, a talis, and beat Hard Dark Falz. His flying form is a pisser though. I could almost never hit him http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

So yeah, I'm happy now. I guess the moral of the story is to just kill everything that moves, and you'll eventually hit paydirt.

Meh, rares just show up around Hard Ruins naturally. VHard will blow your mind if you're impressed so far.

Yeah, you were right. I found a Hildebear's head and two Rappy Wings doing FIY and Forest of Sorrow the first time through on VHard, and they are my two new favorite weapons.

I haven't found any other rares yet, but the general loot and xp is quite nice.
