wow this is weak sauce what happend, i know i was not a big forums person or anything but dam. need to update the forums clear the old and get witht the new remove the old pso boards that are not needed and put them in a sub board area, then put psu open for like trades shops guild and partys general and new item find threads. come on mods get with it.

and i bet ive ben here longer then some of them but hell

Why split general? We are all playing the same game, no? Trades, Shops, and Player Matchup is open to both PSO and PSU players and should not be solely for PSU players. Do remember PSOX and PSOBB are still alive. You don't need an entire section dedicated to new items finds. And there is no real guild system in PSU, why would we need a guild forum?

well that is not a full list just showing you all, how many want to realy go throw that findings topic and also new stuff is added ever update, so area to talk about it and show what you found seems more well needed. also pso x box and bb are still up yes and they should have there own areas. under the pso section.

Not only can you go through the item findings topic, but there is also the item database which is fairly well organized. You can also submit new item data through there. There really isn't much to discuss when new items are released.

There is nothing "wrong" with the current setup. Could it be better? Yeah, I suppose it could. But this isn't even the place for this, it belongs in Site Suggestions.

Episode 3 is completely different than the other Episodes, so it having its own forum makes sense. BB is very similar to the GC/XBox with some differences, but not enough to warrant their own board. The current setup works because most topics work for all versions and for anything that is version specific there are tags.

Player Matchup has always been the place for Guilds, Teams, and finding a party. It seems to be mostly PSU based right now.

Trades is a majority PSU now, so why have a board specifically for PSU trades.

We never separated the forums based on system as far as I know. And it is still the same game, just use the tag system for system specific threads. Having a forum that covers multiple systems works better than separating because the same question may come up for different versions.


PSU may require more forums, but since I only visit that area on Mod Alerts, I wouldn't know if there really needs to be a split and if so what would be the best way to go.

When it is determined necessary and when the admins have time, the forums will be rearranged to fit the need.

The forums are arranged in such a manner as to promote cross-console discussion within a specific game-series. There isn't enough unique console-specific discussion in any of the forums to warrant the creation of something like a "Blue Burst" or "XBox 360 PSU" forum.

As for the PSO forums, they are going to remain in their current spots for the time being. We may consider consolidating or moving them lower in the forum index at some future point. That future point will be governed by the discussion level in those forums and the status of the online servers for Blue Burst/XBox PSO.

Having forums divided into very specific discussion topics and boards can sometimes do more harm than good. This has been an issue which we have revisted several times since the release of PSU and we have always come to the conclusion that it is better to have more discussion in fewer forums than to have no discussion in many forums. Excessive forum categorization often results in stunting the growth of the forums, which is the exact opposite of what people often think it should be doing.

With that said, I think that we will likely make some changes to the forums in the future which will cator to PSU a bit more, as that is the dominant Phantasy Star title right now. I would not expect any drastic changes, though.
