i recently bought eltroheart but dont understand what it does. i know it uses electric photons as a catalyst but what the heck does it mean by a catalyst ive never heard of that word before. can anyone help me so i can know what it does. for the moment im using saftey heart in the field base for the domagoulg boss where curtze is.

If I remember correctly, Electro Heart is also a visual extra unit that gives you a certain amount of endurance or stamina. >_>;

A "catalyst" is something that begins a reaction or event that was prepared to happen, but may not have otherwise. For example, a chain of dominoes set up in an elaborate pattern may never fall on their own, but with the introduction of a catalyst, as simple as say, a ping pong ball, the dominoes will fall. The term is used most in Chemistry, where the reaction of two chemicals may never occur, or otherwise occur very slowly, without the addition of another chemical or some manner of energy. This video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVEnnu8zld4) on YouTube, for example, shows that a bottle of beer left in a freezer will not freeze until kinetic energy is added to the beer (accomplished by tapping or shaking it). The pressure of the glass bottle prevents the liquid from expanding as a solid, and thus, it cannot freeze. The kinetic energy, however, causes it to fizz, resulting in the liquid to release gas. Gas is more easily compressed and the liquid now takes up slightly less space in the bottle, therefore allowing it to freeze.

Politics can, as well, be the subject of a catalyst. Tension between a people and its government place a notion of rebellion in the peoples' minds. A subsequent event where a particular injustice occurs may be likely to cause a revolution, thus becoming the revolution's catalyst.

In the case of the Electro Heart (http://www.pso-world.com/items/psu/3/855/electro_heart/), I think it just means that Electric Photons are just what the unit uses to generate its effect, and it's mostly just an explanation for the aesthetics, rather than for the practical use.
