I'm tired or waiting for them to be re-released...so I'm thinking of buying a Japanese one..but I want to be sure they'll work with my Gamecube which is the non-japanese one (didn't know what else to call it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)

My Japanese ethernet adaptor works fine with both versions of the game on my American Gamecube.

And they come in a Japanese box, which is so much cooler than American packaging.

I saw my san francisco best buy had several. they were mixed in with a stack of modem adapters on the floor. I bet if I had called the clueless employee would have told me they only had the modem adapter. This is probably the most commonly reported incident regarding looking for them in retail stores.

I almost did that, but I solved the problem by using online store locators, calling around, and eventually finding a store that had them in stock.

The following websites have store locators which also list telephone numbers:

http://www.ebworld.com
http://www.gamestop.com
http://www.walmart.com
http://www.target.com

Search within a decent radius -- I searched for all stores within 100 miles -- and surely, you will find one (or two) somewhere. You'll save time, quite a bit of money, and receive instant gratification. Plus, you'll have an item with a valid warranty... something you won't have if you import, since the Japanese adapter is supposed to only be sold in Japan.

The problem is my mom always calls before she goes....so if they did get mixed in with the modem adapters.. the clerks will say there aren't any. Meaning she won't take me...and I can;t get anyone else to take me :[
