Bought my elite for my wife this weekend (actually I bought it for me and she gets my old one.) Anyone else buy it? If so, what do you think? Personally, I really happy with it. I didn't think the HDMI would clear anything up, but I had to eat my words on that one.

I have a friend who has one and he seems really satisfied with it.

One question, does it run quieter?

Nope. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

It just looks a lot sexier while it sounds like its taking off.

I am this close to buying an Elite. If my tax return would have been here by now I would own one. So now I have to wait for the next shipment.

lol, no. I already have an Xbox 360. What the hell would I want an elite for? The difference between 1080i and 1080p is extremely neglegable - and I don't like the idea of paying $200 for the expanded HDD, let alone paying $500+ for one.

No thanks.

Well there shouldn't be much discernible difference between 1080i and 1080p since they are the same resolution. The only difference is there wont be any "flicker". My TV doesn't even support 1080p haha, but if you're a fidelity freak it might just be good for the HDMI. Otherwise, I'd say leave it for people that don't have a 360 yet.

I'm going to get one, as soon as I get a job and the money to do so. >.>;

Some people would totally disagree with that

It mostly depends on the size of the TV. Likewise, if you have a 32 inch, it won't. But if you have a 46 inch, it will.

I think it may just depend on your display. I have a 30" widescreen CRT and it makes a huge difference. I noticed something was different during the boot animation, but once I started a game I was really surprised. Could just be that my TV sucks at displaying analog signals for some reason.

I was considering picking one up since I dont have a 360 to begin with but I'm too wishy/washy on what next gen console I will get to decide.

Since I have the PS2 version I loathe having to start over my PSU progress on 360 too >.>;

Boooo! They aren't selling them up here for another few days http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif. I'll definitely be picking it up though once I get the chance. PSU calls to me.
