If I get a DS do i have to have a wireless connection to hook up to the net play say pokemon against people or what? How does that work?

You have to have access to a wireless connection, to be able to use one, yes.

There are no ports on a DS got an ethernet connection, or anything like that, so you have to be wireless.

They sell an adapter if you don't have a wireless setup already that's basically plug and play.

Link to Nintendo's official store (http://store.nintendo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?lastAction=setCurr&jspStoreDir=NOASTORE&languageId=-1&catalogId=10001&categoryId=58403&productId=95704&currency=USD&storeId=10001&ddkey=ProductCheck)

Should be sold wherever you buy your games at also.

Nintendo makes a usb thing that turns your PC into a hot spot. Forgot what's it's called... I saw it in a Nintendo Power or something a while back.

Edit: Got beat to it. XD

The USB adapter is fine and all... Unless you're running Vista, with which it does not work. At all.

Not just Vista, practically anything that isn't 32 bit XP doesn't work with it.

That said, I have one and it works fine for me.

What you want to play online is Mario Kart DS. That rules.
