PSU-PC/PS2: Outrageous player shop prices

I was shopping around for an A rank sword and twin dagger for my Figunner when I, along with most of you, got feed up with the utterly ridiculous prices these people have.
1st traps

and Lastly, the EXACT item I was looking for. Only found 1 Hanzo with Ground element, I didn't care about %'s as long as it had Ground but... one thing bothered me...

The reason I didn't block out anyone's names is that I hope no one gets duped into buying their over priced crap and I hope they make their prices reasonable. OH and there were more.. MANY more than I felt like taking screenshots of.

I don't price my stuff at anything over a mil, all elemental photons are for 6k (10k for ban..for obvious reasons), and the highest price I have is like 600k for some 12* synth thing, I'll probly lower everything to the 200kish area though.

But yes, prices are ridiculous in these shops. But Im more annoyed at the fact that players don't even try to learn NPC shop prices before putting up their items. Like those non elemental photons...Just..what the hell. -_-;

you can wrap kubara wood as presents! u_u I've been doing that for the last 4 months now. I've actually got 2 stacks of megis and one stack of bans, as well as a stack of acquired Grinder Base A's (versus bought at the store) wrapped.

I actually think what makes me maddest is "Just Storage" of anything; if I search for it in a shop I want to freakin' buy it, not just flip off the TV screen and move on.

My method: i usually hunt photons at Linear Line S2 or through soloing as Bunny Girl. Make weapons of different elements. In all honesty, it probably won't do that much good anyway. I mean, of the PS2/PC populace, how many actually visit this site or these forums? It won't have much of an affect, if the vast majority of the buyers and sellers of player shop goods don't see it.

That said, yes, I have seen my fair share of outrageously over-priced goods in people's shops, and I've always attributed it to one of two things: greed or laziness. They either feel they need all the meseta in the Colony, or they're just not going to make that trip to the local NPC shop to see that they're actually making fools out of themselves.

But then, that is the sort of environment that the "haxeta" has left us with. I mean, I still feel somewhat ashamed for selling elemental photons for 2500 in my shop, when I know damn well they're not worth that much. The problem is, some people are either oblivious to or simply don't care that the market is slowly but surely re-adjusting itself once again.

People went the way the tide turned when big wave known as "haxeta" hit, but now that the tide is receding, a lot of people are being left out at sea. However, because most people barter now rather than purchase through player shops, I'm afraid it's not going to change as quickly as it should. And, who knows: maybe these people still think that meseta flows like groovy juice? Who can say...

I synth what myself and my friends need, and sell the rest. The way I see it, there's more profit in selling the materials then there is mass-synthing. If you fail a synth, you lose money. At least this way, there is no loss of money on my part.

I used to believe that this game would breed two types of shops: suppliers and synthers. Half would sell the items needed to make weapons, and half would make the weapons and armour. One needs the other, and both would work together to make it happen.

Unfortunately, the invent of the "haxeta" put an end to that, because the need for synthers sorta went down the drain. Now, everyone can afford to build their own PM, synth their own stuff, over-price everything they don't need, and effectively killed the marketplace. The suppliers now ask too much, and the synthers either quit synthing or charged even more for their items.

Exactly Mystil, I had to find out this for myself, so I gave up on incredibly good prices and largely increased alot of my prices to atleast a reasonable amount, rather than 50% off npc. Although all my friends can get things at hugely discounted prices in my shop (sometimes even for free), everybody else can go fuck themselves.

You know what makes me angry about you? You come off like you're better than me cause of your prices, because in most topics where I mention how much I'm selling something, you're right there to quote me. I see it man, and it's really stupid - good for you. I don't sell my stuff 90% off the NPC like you do, and I never will, people come to shop, even after it's empty, cause they wont find 9345983653699 mil for a fucking A rank weapon. And those are my regulars, the ones my prices are intended for.

You try maintaining 3 characters over 40, with 2 over 60 and 3 advance class jobs and your only means of income IS PHOTONS. No one buys anything else cause they go the NPC now. I could be rich selling them for 15,000, but I'm ok selling them 2500-5000(rays) and for this market THAT IS A GOOD DAMN DEAL.
