Just a quick question, I tried to search for the answer but to no avail. Anywho, does the TP of a wand/rod affect the effectiveness of a buff/debuff. Or is it just the PA level that changes it?

Sorry if the answers obvious, i'm kinda a force newb.
Thanks for any help.

Only the level of the status of the tech would have any impact on the strength of either type. With debuffs, the target's STA will influence the chance of it applying as well as your ATA possibly helping with that.

Ah ok, thank you. So logically I could use just a 1* rod for all the buffs with no drawbacks?

Well, buff and debuff TECHNICs are relatively expensive: they'd empty a one-star rod extremely fast, and necessitate the need to carry multiples of them, wasting inventory slots. I'd suggest something with abundant PP (but not necessarily TP) like a Rodoc or Granarodoc.

Oh yeah, forgot about the PP (duh). Thanks.

For normal combat, you will want to use some rods/wands with a lot of PP. If you just want to level your debuffs up, use 1* rods/wands.
