http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gifIt happened... I always thought that it couldn't or at least wouldn't happen to me, but...it did. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif Yeah, thats right, my memory card became corrupted. I had a 59 to, i didnt think that it happened to those. Had to express feelings somewhere.

Eh, what happened? Anything strange happen? Did you get disconnected while logging in? Did you turn power off too soon? What? What? :3

The moment I first opened pso i was with my two cousins and another friend, we played together for 12 straight hours after that, and continued to play for about another 3 weeks a lot. All 4 of our characters were level 30-35. Well, just a couple of nights ago we were playing and my cousins's cat actually walked on top of my GC while it was saving. Its paw hit the power switch and corrupted the file. Imagind my luck, and that is the dead truth!!!

wow that REALLY sucks. I pity you, if I were you I'd throw that cat in an incinerator for all the wasted time. Believe me, PSO is not the kind of game you would want to do over. O_O My HUmar has 200 hours+ play time on him and if that mem card became corrupt, I'd throw my gamecube out the window with everything in it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Our cat is not even allowed near the comp. Cats are evil, they know every single way to irritate you.

Try tape on the bottom of their feet too. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif So cruel..

Man that sucks that you lost your char but see cats dont like being ignored and thats why it stepped on your gc. Cats hate pso cause pple pay more attention to it than to them. btw I can't believe your cousin's cat even got up. Mine sleeps ALOT. lol

Sorry to hear that. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Did you try blowing on the memory card like it was an old NES cartridge?

Edit: Nevermind, it was your cat.

The cat must be put to death. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

That happened to me also [well, not the cat part, but the corrupting part]. At least your characters weren't TOO high yet. Good luck!

Back on the DC version my cat managed to unplug my DC twice while I was playing! =O.o= Thankfully it wasn't anything detrimental, I only lost money and junk items. But I wisened up after the second time and moved the plug to where he couldn't get to it. I haven't had that problem since, with the DC or the GC. Silly ghatti. (Five meseta to the first person who figures out that reference.) =^.^=

Whenever I'm in the middle of an online game, there are NO kitties allowed in the room. Generally, I try to keep all cats out of this room whenever possible, because it's the same room that the Xbox, PS2 and GCN are hooked up in, along with the PC = LOTS of expensive electronic stuff that doesn't take kindly to furry little animals with a knack of gnawing on wires.
I think back on DC one of my cats ran past at warp speed and disconnected my controller from the system. That was the first and last time that happened. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif But hey, my cat's done that once. Humans have managed to do that at least 3 times. Cats = 0wnZ TEH hyuminz.

REALLY sucks about the data corruption though. Gotta be so damn careful on PSO. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_argh.gif

Moral of the story is: Put the kitty in another room or outside while you're playing, give him a toy or something to occupy himself, and then get your online gamin' groove on. There's nothing worse than being on a frag frenzy in Quake 3 until a wild cat from hell decides it might be fun to run across the keyboard/climb your leg, believe me. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Jake (A dog) once bit through a N64 controller when i was playing.

Cats are evil they do it on purpose burn them or at least put them in a bag and throw it in the river.

U lost 4 lv 35's thats pretty bad. But I managed to get my mem card corrupted with a lv 45 Racast (with sweet Yam 9000M) a lv 104 Fonewman, lv 62 HUnewearl and Lv 137 Hucast (500hrs on him alone). Bitter doesnt discribe how much hate I have for that Memory card.

Jeez, not too many animal fans in this thread. o_O Maybe my cat wants to throw YOU into an incinerator/sea/wood chipper. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

That said, I would very much like to murder Lulu the hippo slowly with a rusty butter knife, on Animal Crossing. (Bitch stole muh MUNNY!) But, you know... that's perfectly fine, all the animals on that game are beggin' for cement shoes. I ESPECIALLY love it when they respond to my death threats by saying crap like "What's with the big words, professor?!" *sharpens butter knife*

This speaks for itself. Be kind to your pets. http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2001-03-16&res=l
