I recently got a new laptop (stats here http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet.to?poid=365595&coid=-30605 ) and have since it is a powerful enough computer I've decided that I want to play PSU again, as I quite missed the game Online and Off despite it's quirks.
In playing PSU, I've found that regardless of the settings (I've tried tweaking frame skip, compressed textures, hardware acceleration, sound, and full screen) it seems that for some reason the computer will as I play eventually and at some random point just freeze on me.
I cannot alt+tab, or exit the game in any way and it ends up requiring a cold reboot. I would appreciate some feedback on this as this is VERY disruptive to the game. Especially online, to the point where I cannot even get through one level/section at times.
I've also tried all manners of Nvidea drivers to no avail as well.
And for the record I am using Vista Ultimate as the OS as it came installed with this laptop.
