So, my PC rig is done. I felt a desire to show you guys what the end result looks like, since I did create 2-3 separate threads based on suggestions for parts, etc.

My eVGA 8800GTS 320mb (decided the 640 didn't have enough of an advantage in the end). So far, I've gotten it overclocked to 760 core, 1000 memory at 61 Celsius (full load).

Outside.

All the pics I have so far - http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j121/Jive18/System/

Aftermarket components:
- Ram (G.Skill HK's)
- GPU (8800GTS)
- Power Supply (Corsair 520)
- Fans (2x Antec 80mm blue led's, 1x Silverstone FM121; the Silverstone is attached to my side panel and blows air onto my GPU, mobo chipset, and ram)
- Fan controller (Vantec Nexus)

Some benchmarks:
- Oblivion (Ultra High textures, 1600 x 1050 res., 8x AA enabled, HDR enabled, Supersampling Transparency AA enabled) - 60 fps average, can fall to around 30 at times.
- Doom 3 (Ultra High, 1600 x 1050, 16 AA, Supersampling) - 60 fps consistently.
- 3DMark 06 - 7754 with my GTS overclock; I can probably hit 8000. The pic I have on Photobucket was a run-through without the overclock.

Hopefully some of you understood the overclock and benchmarks. Thanks to everyone for input.

Also, I'd like to see if anyone else is willing to post their setup. Pics, specs, it doesn't matter. Just wondering if any of the other enthusiasts want to share what they run http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif.

lol uhhh a powerPC imac
400Mhz processor
768 Mb of ram
8 Mb of Vram

I was gonna build my own comp a year or 2 ago, but decided my 360 was good enough.

Mine has Legos holding up a fan, that's about as interesting as it gets. :/

my PC with lower end parts than originally designed hits either 5000 or 6000 with benchmark 06... I need to replace it's CPU and buy 2 graphic cards then I'll tell you how well it runs ^.^ maybe i'll add another 2gb of ram too >.>

Golly, I use 3 regularly, but I suppose I'll list the main machine.

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 currently at 3000MHz (1333FSB) @ 1.3v with Zalman CNPS 9500 idle 24C on cores and 41C full load
Memory: 4x1024MB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 5-5-5-12
Motherboard: EVGA 680i revision A2
Harddrives: 1x150GB WD Raptor, 2x500GB drives WD/Hitachi, 1x320GB WD, and 1x300GB external Maxtor, all internal are SATA
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit and Windows XP Professional 32-bit
Video card: EVGA 8800 GTX at stock speeds
Sound card: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS (with hacked ALchemy)
PSU: ThermalTake ToughPower 700W modular
Monitor: Acer AL2216W (22" widescreen)
Keyboard: Logitech G15
Mouse: Logitech Mx518
Case: Antec Nine Hundred

I don't benchmark much but I got near 12,000 in 3DMark06. SuperPi is 12 seconds for 1M I believe. CS:S stress test at 16xAA and 16xAF is about 230FPS in Vista. Stalker plays absolutely beautifully with full dynamic lighting in Vista with framerates dropping to 30FPS in really tough situations but most of the time in the 60+ range. I haven't played Oblivion since the upgrade but I imagine more of the same. I'll try for 3.6GHz possibly tomorrow. Even if it doesn't work I'm very happy with my results.
