All I get when a Japanese smile smilie appears is a square unloaded box.

Is it my computer being stupid?

At the moment, that smiley is broken. I'll need to make some backend changes to get it working again.

LOL, "backend changes". I love how that makes stuff sound more complicated than it really is. I think I'll use that excuse myself from now on.

Actually, the system that handles smilies is not very straight-forward. It involves a few extra steps beyond simply renaming a file.

I still like the term. Although this does get me wondering if that is the only one wrong. So I'll ask an awkward question... Is it?

all the others display on the smilie list, so it should be.

that japanese smile wasn't that big a deal, it was just a bowing yellow smiley with those broad flat cone hats you see laborers wear in stereotypical rice pattie settings
