For those to lazy to click: Jesse Morrison was, I repeat WAS, a projectionist for a Memphis Theater Chain , because he released an early negative review on Ain't it cool about Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

I was gonna give you guys a little review on Live Free or Die hard as soon as I finished watching it tonight... but me thinks I'll keep my review till a later date >.>

Realistically, its his fault. Im sure its made blatantly clear that that's a big time no-no.

Now the real question here though is, would he have been fired if his review was positive? I doubt. Seeing as how bad that movie was, they probably could have used all the positive reviews they could get.

Actually niered.. we are never psychically told that its not right, nor do we sign anything about it... Though I'm sure its stated in the actual contract the Theater Manager/company and production company have. But as a Projectionist we never see these! We are only told that we are to "Preview" the movie as a quality control procedure.

After reading the article, I think Morrison may have grounds for a lawsuit.

he does..as long as it's not stipulated anywhere that he is not allowed to post a review like he did then there is no grounds to fire him and he can sue his employer for damages and they can sue the studio for damages sustained due to this...either way the theater would lose out.

I read the article, and its possible that it is written in the contract, its all assumption

A judge could look at it as an implied contract so it doesn't need to be written down.
