Fight the Dragon on Hard if you want the green colored musashis, or very hard if you want the blue colored yamatos. There's a third reddish colored one called asuka in the later difficulties.

People keep forgetting about Grass Assassin Sabers which you can obtain earlier than Yamato.

Grass Assassin Sabers not only have an incredibly easy drop, but are strong, have a paralysis special, and are perfect weapons for the aspiring hunter or melee FO.

But of course, I do prefer the Musashi with the berserk special and all.
