Maybe old news.

Seems to be re-releasing PSU (similar to Greatest Hits here in the US) on the JP PS2 on 7/26.

Its JP only. So sales in US dont affect it.

They also appear to be price-cutting/re-releasing the PC version as well to coincide.

The CD key bit didn't help. but I don't think they cared....the only reason not to release a game without a CD key is because you want everyone to get access to it whether they paid or not

Damn, I have to nab myself another copy of PSU, my disk is pretty scratched up.

This only pertains to the Japanese PC and PS2 versions. That said, you can probably find PSU for Xbox 360 for $30 USD or so. If you find a deal you're sure to find it for even cheaper.
