Symbol Chat: Capture?

What is the Capture option for Symbol Chat? Does anyone know?

if you have the option turned on, when you go to make a new xymbol, if you choose the "use captured" option or whatever it says, it copies the last symbol chat that was used by someone else...obviously it only works online, so if iyou don't have online then it's useless
