I'm using iTunes 7.2 and iPod software version 1.1.3 (which is the latest) and haven't had any issues.

I actually don't own an mp3 player. Somehow I make it through life without music in my ear 24 hours a day.

Yeah, but MS just wants your money. Apple are the people out there creating fanboys.

I'm going to upgrade iTunes myself and see what happens, but since the iPod firmware itself hasn't changed, it shouldn't cause any problems.

after uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling itunes 7.2 - my ipod shows up on the 360 as it used to, playlists and all.

There's nothing wrong with owning a Zune.

It also has the added bonus of not looking like an Apple Consumer Whore. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I don't care if someone thinks that I look like a consumer whore, the nano is the best flash-based mp3 player I could find. I've dropped that poor thing so many times (at least twice on cement, once on tile, a few misc.), and it still works just fine.

I am not coordinated or attentive enough to own a Zune.

Oh, and I try not to update iTunes. I don't trust updates unless they're security related.
