Frozen Shooter... worth 6+ hours?

I've been piping for 6 hours now on FoS... saw my first torr in about 20 minutes... but he only dropped meseta :[

Just wondering if the frozen shooter is really worth any longer than this and is it worth possibly risking my gamecube http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif hahah

Frozen Shooter is one of, if not the best guns you'll get as a RA. I'd keep looking for it.

It took me either 11 or 13 HIldetorrs (very bad luck) of my friend's time to get one for me (I didn't have the proper IDs in Ultimate at the time), some of them we did in multiplayer, the rest he did alone (as a HUcaseal). When I played, it was definitely worth the trouble, especially in later areas such as Mines and Ruins.

Yeah keep at it - but I would reccomend limiting your piping to at most 90 mins at a time - that way your GC won't get too stressed.

Just looking at my clock on BB, I have clocked over 3000 hours of gameplay, some 400 of it with my ramarl.

So... Considering you're going to use that gun for like hundreds of hours of gameplay after you find it, I'd say that yes, indeed, it is worth the trouble.

But well, that's just me.

The frozen shooter is most definitely worth it.

But 6 hours is a long time, you should take a break from going after the frozen shooter so you don't get bored with the game after going after it for that long.

I'd suggest doing 100 telepipes, take a break, then do another 100, and so on till you get the frozen shooter.

Are you piping with 4 Hildelts at once? It might help to get 4 on the screen at once before piping in that very last room.

how do you get four in the last room im doing the same but i never can get four

In the last room as soon as you enter a hildelt will jump in, kill this one but not any of the others. when its dead another will jump in, ill this hildelt and 2 more will jump in, making a total of four in the room at once.

Any way I'd say it's essential that you get this weapon... period. Good luck on finding it! It took me 30 mins (not to discourage) but you'll get it soon.

It is possible to get more then 4 hildelts in the FoS quest. Make the 4 in the bottom room appear, then leave the 2 in the long oval shaped room alive, and leave the 1 hildelt at the top that spawns after killing the 3 rappies. pipe those 7 hildelts and you most likely will find a hildetorr and frozen shooter soon. ^_^. it worked for me.

seriously though, don't you think 6 hours is a bit much to be piping? Sure, FS is a good rifle but it's just a game man, it can wait. The world won't end if you dont find the rifle within an hour.

Unless you went online at some point to buy a Photon Booster from Gallon's Shop, then no.

nope. You can only get it with photon booster which is still available only online, even with the PSO+ disc

I pretty much decided to stop piping after that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif At least no more than 10 minutes at a time (30 pipes usually, which is 120 hildelts) Anyhow... I just played through FoS for 20 hours(not piping, just about 4 complete runs an hour) and I saw 3 Torrs...none dropped it... so I'm like jeez this is getting tiring... On my very next run I see a Torr LOL I'm like OMG please drop the damn weapon.. I kill him and he drops the weapon... and even better.. he gives me these % (after tekking several times obviously) 20/10/0/10/15 :]

So I can't really tell if that's super good luck or super bad luck. LOL A little of both I assume...considering I didn't find it for so long... then I found two within 5 minutes (without piping) and one dropped a really good shooter. hah

Those %s are impossible. %s can be in 3 areas at most. And the tekking could have been better (%s on GC/XBox and newer should be minimum of 15% on tekked items with a perfect tek).

You're right! I just checked it again and it is a 0 not a 10 under A.Beast! Guess I just glanced a little too quickly (I exited/saved and came here as soon as I found it to post out of excitement LOL)
