This is my favorite manga.

It's probly 'cause it's relatively new and wasn't well advertised. Also, it doesn't have an anime adaption. ._.

It's by Hajime Ueda, the author of the FLCL manga, and it shows.
It can be a bit confusing at times, but it's really cool.

Actually, it's not very similar at all.

Q-Ko-Chan's considerably darker (despite the art style, it has a somewhat dark storyline, one specific instance being when VV-ko devours her pilot to detonate a hydrogen bomb), in some respects it's very similar to the FLCL manga, a bit easier to follow, though.

I don't know the name of it, but I've seen that cartoon also. Well, I've seen porn of it at any rate.

OMG!

The same chick who did the FLCL manga has her own manga?!

Do want! I don't normally read manga, but I adore her art style.

Precisely why I picked it up, "Hajime Ueda? I'm there!", I love Ueda's style, and he's a brilliant writer, Q-Ko-Chan is proof that he doesn't need GAINAX's help to make something good..

It's really an excellent series, I think it's lack of popularity is probly due to the fact that it's not a Jump or Gangan manga, it was published by Kodansha, so if anywhere it would have been in Afternoon (I'm fairly sure that's the title), but I'm not sure if that magazine is published outside of Japan. :/
