I heard that PSO will mess up a GameCube...er...kill it. But I don't play on my GameCube anymore. I was wondering if it could be affecting my Wii. I don't want my Wii dying!

sometimes if your running off of a 3rd party memory card (ie, Mad Catz) it can corrupt the memory card and erase all of the memory...

edit: forgot about piping

Piping repeatedly can kill your 'Cube, as in telepiping/Ryukering in and out to get a rare monster to appear, 'cause of all the loading and stuff. Before I knew this, I thought Action Replay killed my last 3 'Cubes.

But what about my Wii?

I think for the Wii it won't damage it.

I would avoid piping on the Wii. The stress repeated use is probably what kills the GC, and I don't think the Wii would act any differently.

How much piping are we talking here? I've did it for a whole hour once, but it hasn't done anything to mine. Now I'm scared...

How much piping are you planning on doing? I have piped for stuff for hours on end and luckily my two cubes are in good working order... Haven't a clue about the Wii tho I'm afraid.

The damage would occur over time, it wouldn't be an instant death. From my understanding, it basically wears out the reader faster than it otherwise would.

I second that. So ya, if you're THAT paranoid about your system breaking then just avoid piping repeated piping altogether.

The GC server is down right? But is there anyway to download quests or crap? I feel really bad since I missed the free to play period, but since we had no modem adapters in Australia I couldn't play anyway, but if I could connect it with my Wii...?

I never got to play online either since I didn't have an adapter. Sorry to tell you, but you can't play PSO online on the Wii.
