There's plenty more things too, like the GDC in Spring, the Tokyo Game Show and another one I can't remember the name of.

It would make more sense as well, seeing as Phantasy Star Online is always handled by the Japanese arm of SEGA, and it was the American branch that appeared at E3 whereas SEGA of Japan was a no-show.

So now we know.
