Alright so you've been doing temple alpha and beta for a few hours now and your about ready to rip out something of yours to cause pain. Well I have a a few tips for you all.

First off. St rappy always drops an xmas present no matter what.

Second it doesnt matter what diffiuclt it is could be normal could be ultimate.

Now heres the trick. Make a normal ep 2 game. Go to temple alpha then to the first room where monsters spawn, two rappys spawn there. Check to see if theres a St Rappy if not leave the game and repeat.

This method has worked two times for me and a friend. Enjoy.

It doesn't always drop something, unless I'm horribly blind.

I've found 2, one dropped nothing.

The other dropped a christmas present, which I messed up and let be Angel Heart >:|

I usually do the first two rooms. Depending on what map you have, you can either see a total of 5 or 7 rappies.

Doesn't take much longer then just doing the first room, and you increase your chances.

I did this for only about an hour. I saw about a total of 45ish rappies. No Santa yet.. x_x And all that saving is annoying.

ive done this some, and played temple a LOT.

Guess if you say it works, ill keep doing.

I still think this is a joke like that composite needle thing.

I did about 10 temple runs today. I did probably 15 vhard games where I just joined killed the 4-5 rappys I could get to and left.

I didn't say that...
The first one and only I saw dropped a trap vision.

I would actually recommend putting RAfoie or some spell on a button (for non bots that is) and check out all the rappies in the area.
One map has 5 rappies the other has 7 rappies (if you're alone).

Hopefully they drop goodies on norm too. (says the lazy greedy american)

normal temple,

In the room where you walk in, 3 rappies drop and 2 lillys are there. there is a switch on the other side of the room (from where you walk in) in the middle, st. rappy dropped 3 times next to that switch.

could be any of em though i 'suppose. KILL THEM ALL!!!

Other map. Map with the stompers in the frist room. In the stomper room go right, clear 1 room with 2 rappies and 3 lillies. Its the next room.

i did 7 or so runs tonight. very hard, 2 santa rappies. mark 3 and panther spirit. one rappy was in alpha. the other was in temple beta. nobody else saw any because i had split from the party. the second st.rappy almost got me killed as i was trying to hold my ground against 2 la dimenians, 2 so dimenians and a belra. but i just couldnt let that bugger get away. i gave a friend that helped me get through a 2 person door the mark 3. without his help i wouldnt have gotten anything.

here is something interesting, before going up to pioneer 2 i gave him the kit of mark 3. he said "thanks for the cast". ....what cast? i gave him a mark 3? anyway it seems that he didnt know what i was talking about "mark 3, shmark3".

it appeared to him that i had given him a dreamcast kit. i dont know if this is some random glitch, he was pulling my chain, or if the present contains something different for everyone. he even offered to give it back or make a dreamcast for me , but i dont take back gifts and i didnt have a lv 200 mag to use it on. he dropped it and said "see, kit of cast". all i saw was a kit of mark3. it is kinda strange but cool if it is programmed that way.

if i am this lucky i should have 5 cells by tomorrow!

I feel kinda guilty ..i saw 3 today all in about an hour and a half period...and got the 3 cells i wanted the most. Dev and angel wings and a tastey hamburger.

Me and another guy ran through and found a St. Rappy when it dropped the present he opened it and saw it was a Heart of Angel... he dropped it and it was a Kit of Mark 3 for me... so different IDs see different drops...

I heard that each ID gets two different drops a common(the usual cell) and a rare (a less common cell) drop...

I also heard that if you bank the actual present and dont open it til you get offline you can play with luck somewhat... two ways... either open it and if it isnt what you wanted soft reset the game (B+X+start maybe) and look at it again, but never save it if you opened the present unless you have the cell you want...
The other way... use your other saved players (if their IDs are different) to get the cell you want...

I'd like to add to the suggestion of how to find a St. Rappy. I tried my hand at doing it and after a few hours came out with two St. Rappies (and two Christmas Presents), a Mil Lily, and a Nar Lily. There are two map variations of VR Temple Alpha. Following is how I went about doing it.

Variation 1...
Moving north, the first room is a maze-like area with a few crushers in it. Take the north door into the hallway. There will be a couple Rappies here. Defeat them and wait until they get up. Hit them again and they'll drop something (this is the most important step when dealing with rare Rappies). Next go through the north door and look into the room to see if there is a rare Lily. If not, ignore the room and go back to the south room with the crushers. Go east from here and you'll come into a small room with a raised portion in the middle. There will be a couple Rappies and Lilies in here. All excellent chances for a rare critter. Defeat them, collect your spoils, and head north from here. In the north room you'll see a bunch of columns along the sides. Some rappies and lilies will appear. If none of them are rare then leave the room and telepipe up to the lab. Exit the team and make a new team. Rinse and repeat.

Variation 2...
Moving south, the first room is small with six boxes on the far wall. There will be a couple Rappies and Dimenians here. Defeat them, collect your spoils, and move into the next area (there's only one other door). There will be a Grass/Crimson Assassin in the hallway. Swat that bug and go into the next room. There are no Rappies in the first attack wave. Defeat all the enemies and a second wave with a few Rappies will appear. If there are no rare critters, leave the room and telepipe up to the lab. Exit the team and make a new team. Rinse and repeat.

I did Ultimate all night, solo, with my FOmar. Normally this would be insanely hard, but I eventually devised a method where I didn't have to even make close contact with any monster.

If I got the map that begins with a room full of smashers, I'd take the east room first and keep in ever so carefully to avoid the Ob Lilies... There's a rappy on each side of the room. Then, I'd take the north path from the smashers, let the rappies fall, and then warp out of the game if none were ol' Saint Rappy.

Got the Kit Of Dreamcast using the offline "present tekking" method of opening it and soft resetting, so all I needs me now is a Mark 3 and I'll be one happy Sega FREAK. Tonight was a good night for this unlucky fellow.

I saw one St. Rappy on hard mode in Alpha Temple, Epll. I didn't actuley see it, but a close freind of mine did, it was at the very first room of the temple when 2 rappys drop down(I think). She showed me were it dropped, it was on the left side, she said it didn't drop anything though. Phew..just saw my second one and got very lucky this time. It only took two tries as opposed to the seemingly infinite it took last time. This time I got a Kit of Hamburger. Since I missed out on that in PSO Version 2, I'm stoked about having a hamburger float over my shoulder!

I really just want the Mark III and one of the system cells now. Genesis, Saturn or DC, it's all good. But I'll keep trying even if I get all that. Stuff to trade later/give to friends who aren't online right now.

over at the IGN board they found a way to get alot rappies in one run.

VERSION 1:
If the first room you go to has NO ceiling (meaning you can see the sky), follow this guide..

Room #1: This room should have 2 Dimenians and 2 Rappies. As the Rappies fall from the sky, it would be a good idea to cast Shifta/Deband if you have time. Destroy the enemies in the room, and move on.

Room #2: The next room should be a hallway with a Grass Assassin in it. Just run past the beast and move on. Running on the right right of the hallway, then cutting left at the last second like Barry Sanders usually works in getting past the Grass Assassin in this tight hallway.

Room #3 (LAST ROOM): Alright. This room should have some Dimenians and Lillies. Kill these enemies. After they all die, set a Telepipe. 3 Rappies should fall from the sky. If none of them are St. Rappies, take the pipe and create a new team to try again.

VERSION 2:
If the first room you enter HAS a ceiling and those nasty stomper things, then follow this guide...

Room #1: Go north and enter the hallway with the small incline.

Room #2: At the top of the incline, 2 Rappies should fall from the sky. Before they fall it would be a good idea to cast Shifta/Deband for that extra strength. If they aren't St. Rappies, just ignore them and return to the previous room (Room #1).

Room #1: Next, go to the hallway to your LEFT. It should be a small hallway shaped like an S. The hallway should lead you to an open room with 3 Lillies and 2 Rappies.

Room #3: As stated above, the hallway should lead you to an open room with several Lillies and a couple Rappies. The middle of the room is elevated with boxes. If you don't see any St. Rappies, destroy everything in the room and continue on through the door you just unlocked. You'll go down a hallway and end up in the last room.

Room #4 (LAST ROOM): Right when you get in here, set a Telepipe. Three Rappies (accompanied by 2 Lillies) should fall from the sky. If none of them are St. Rappies, go through the telepipe and make a new team to try again.

AFTER YOU GET THE CHRISTMAS PRESENT:

Okay this is the method to "choose" your mag cell.

1. First, once you find your Christmas present, DO NOT OPEN IT! Bank it for security reasons. (FSOD!)
2. After that, go offline and take your Christmas present from the bank.
3. Highlight the present and choose 'USE'. The present should turn into a mag cell.
4. If your not happy with the cell you receive, press the reset button on your Gamecube and try again from step 3!

After 3 days of doing all the tricks I saw 3 St. Rappys 2 screwed me http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif One dropped a Moon and the other dropped a Power Mat but the third I finaly got my Christmas Present off of. So all I can say to those who have not seen one is keep the faith they are out there. Now I am off to see what I got in my present. Good luck all.

Went through "Ultimate" VR temple 15 times, did "very hard" 10 times... No Santa Rappy!!! Decided for kicks to do the run once on hard, AND GUESS WHAT??? very 1st room I get a Santa Rappy which left me a present.

I write this to encourage those who have yet to find a Santa rappy to continue trying on different difficulty settings.

I recall that I got the bulk of my rares on "hard" difficulty. I also saw many more "rare" enemies on hard.

I've seen 5 total now. 2 dropped presents (Saturn and DC cells) 1 dropped trap vision. Other 2, nothing. >_<

I've been playing the temple level with my friend on v.hard for hours every day since we both heard about this. I have only seen one rare monster since then, and it wasn't a St. Rappy.

if i am this lucky i should have 5 cells by tomorrow!

Hey there! That was me, Kaervek, Maelkith! Anyway, I heard another guy later on that night say that it all depends on what mag you currently own.

I still have that damned Kit of Dreamcast, and I plan on using this trick to find more cells tongiht. Hope to see you on there!

Word the hell up. Just found St. Rappy #7 and #8.

I found #7 about 9 minutes after I got online. Found #8 about 2 hours and 15 minutes after #7. For the first time ever, #7 dropped Meseta for me. #8 dropped a Present as usual, though. ^_^

No secret, just doing the quick search method explained here.

All of my presents are reserved though. What I've turned them into are 2 Heart of Devil, 1 Heart of Angel, 1 Kit of Mark 3, 1 Kit of Master System, 1 Kit of Genesis, and 1 Panther Spirit.

I gave the Panther Spirit, a Heart of Devil, and the Heart of Angel to a good friend of mine. The rest I kept and have used on my mags already.

I'm trying to seduce fade-out to give me his Saturn and Dreamcast kits, but I just found out he's JP v1.0 >.>;; Oh well, I might just go search again in a few hours, I'm going to take a nap first though.
