I'm on Level 73 with 00:129:24 in the game (I dont turn the game off when I do things around the house so it runs for a while). Anyway, if anyone has a similar problem please vent. If anyone has a solution... I'll do sexual favors for them http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif One thing I discovered, while I went back to convert a Delsaber's arm into a sheild, is that after ending the "Ruin Run" by entering that Guild quest then going back into the Ruin's I almost immediatly found another rare, just ones I already have. AAAAAHHHHHH!

Yep, you're not alone. My rares that I mostly find are Diska of Liberator, Diska of Braveman, Slicer of Assassin, Club of Laconium, and Varista. When in rare instances I find something that I don't already have, I do a little jig. Well, lucky you, finding rares at all.
I'm L119 and a rare comes up oh, once for every 3-4 hours?

And just to tell you, with one section ID, difficulty, and enemy, only one type of rare will drop.
So if you are doing the same area over and over, only those rares will drop.

If that were true I wouldnt be so frustrated. I get other rares too. I've gotten PROTOTYPE REGENERATE SHIELD(sucks), GRASS ASSASSIN SABERS, a couple SECRET GEARS, SACRED GAURD, INFERNO BAZOOKA just to name a few. These all break the monotonouse pattern and ultimetly drive me for more rare rares.

i'd just bear with it until you total up more hours. better stuff does drop. and the more hours you have the more likely you are to find better stuff, so stick with it. i noticed a cociderable change in the frequency of drops when i hit 250 hours. so have patience! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Don't fret my friend. I take it you are a REDRIA? My main character is a REDRIA as well and all I can say is, get used to the Diskas. ;P Anyhow, patience is the key! Get to Ultimate and drudge throught the Forest a bit. Although Bartles will drop ya Diskas of Braveman, you can find some God/Units from Gilgus-Gues and Hildets. Ya its ok to find same rares. You just have to know that realy good rares arent gonna pop up to easily now. But whats was funny in caves ult 3 rooms in a row i found rares and got them all. Only to find out they were all silent claws. Lol i was happy to find that many anyways it showed potential.

The Pipe Trick is an offline trick where you basically, reset the state of the monsters that are currently active in the area in which you are fighting. First, make sure there are monsters in the area that are capable of being rare (ie Rappies and Hildes). Next, just Telepipe up to Pioneer 2 and go right back down again. If you're lucky, one of the monsters may become a rare type. Of course your odds of finding one are much greater when you have a large amount of a certain monster in the area. For example, if you were to do the Fake in Yellow quest, I'd suggest going to the room with 10 or so Rappies, then doing the Telepipe Trick. It's as simple as that. However, I don't suppose doing it over and over again can be very good for the GameCube. That would be alot of constant loading. You could, but if you are deep into the stage, all that extra running would get monotonous. Just take the pipe back down. If you do it cosistently, good results will, well, result (for lack of a better word). I've tried doing it with Ryuker (cheaper) and it works pretty well. I've gotten two Al Rappies in one room and gotten a Vise and a Justy from them.

I just finished trying the pipe quest about half an hour ago. It gets frustrating after a while. I piped back and forth about 70 times in the Fake and Yellow quest and found no Al Rappy. I'm gonna keep doing it until I find one. Stupid AL Rappys you can't hide from me!
