Frequent communication problem.

For some reason I can't hear one of my friends. I've tried reforming parties, restarting X-box even restarting my wireless router, but I still cannot hear him. Also when I try to private chat with him it doesnt work. I accept chat invite and it saying joining chat but never accually does. We can hear each other in a recording message. Every once in a while I can hear him again though. does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it?

Chances are your NATs are interfering with each other. One of you is likely set to Strict. The only thing I know of that may fix it would be to open specific ports on your router (after running the Xbox Live test from the Dashboard to see who has the Strict NAT). It's been so long since I tried that though. You'll have to get someone else to walk you through it.
